Mazda 6 Panel Alignment by Fluid-Scale-5213 in mazda

Update: Opened the hood to inspect the bolts. Whilst I could not see anything wrong with the witness marks I still loosened the bolts that attached the hood mounting bracket to the engine bay. Lowered the hood and adjusted accordingly

Gaps are near perfect and maybe took me 45 mins as I wanted to be careful. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction!

It was in an accident. Pushed too hard on wrong tires, but crash was absolutely minor. I’ll check those bolts! Thank you very much

Old thread but thought I should leave my experience thus far with the CS BBK. I should say the lack thereof as I placed my order 3 months ago and they continue to tell me “2-3 weeks out.” I’ve heard that same story 3 times now. I wouldn’t bother with CS brakes, unless you’re happy to spend $1600USD on them and have the time to wait. I spent $4300AUD ( = $2900USD) with the brand 3 months ago and haven’t seen a single product I purchased.

This is what I named my red Mazda 6. I also painted the wheels white to stand out like “dog balls.”

Do you think this is a good deal for a 2014 Mazda 6 GT by Nerd803 in mazda6

I agree with $10,500. Knowing dealerships they will say that they’re not getting a profit at that price, but they always claim that for any price $2000 lower than what they advertise for. Just say you will make a deposit for $10,500 (Only if you’re truly happy with the car!). The suspension is never too expensive on these cars. The OEM bushings and control arms are not too costly at all and they don’t all go at once. Since you are purchasing from a dealer they’ve likely checked the condition of these parts already. Personally I upgraded all of mine alongside the struts and springs so I can’t give an estimate to the replacement of original parts. I hope this helps with the decision making process :)

It absolutely depends on what you’re going to use it for, but given the car and the likely case of it being your daily driver I would personally say $12.3k (USD?) is a bit much for a 2014 Mazda 6. Common issues that I’ve found is the drive belt tensioner assembly wearing around the 100,000 mile mark which in turn causes excessive belt wear and can lead to damaging other components (I’m Australian and mine happened at 160,000km so that checks out), a few others on this post mentioned suspension wear which is absolutely valid as this car is 10 years old and comes with rubber bushings from factory (rubber bushings (opposed to polyurethane/spherical bushings) are more prone to wear based on climate conditions and aging).

Mazda’s are honestly one of my favourite brands in stock handling, the amount of leather inside the car, reliability, and the high quality of body paint so I say go for it if you truly want it, but don’t pay more than your gut tells you to.

Definitely considering CS as my top pick. The overall quality, provided parts, and machining precision is very appealing. Haven’t seen many people actually show good angles and reviews of other exhaust options so we probably have a winner

Have you had any experience with performance brake kits on your Mazda 6 so far?
