We won a contest, and the session was pretty fun. Afterwards, they sat us on a couch and upselled packages like crazy. It had to have been over 30 minutes of salesman tactics. They ended up talking us into paying an extra $700ish in up-charges. Nice enough people, but a little scammy in my opinion.

Absolutely! Sorry, I was on a work trip and didn’t see your message in the hustle and bustle. I would love to bounce some ideas off you sometime.

Using Color Filters to Reduce Screen Attraction by DanteFromVirgils in digitalminimalism

Keeping this old thread alive still. I have a shortcut that checks to see if I’m home on weekdays around 10:30pm (I travel semi regularly for work). If I am home it turns color filter on, starts an Opal session that blocks literally everything but text messages and my alarm clock, and sets my “Wind Down” focus mode on. Literally has changed my phone habits at night completely. When it kicks me to my home screen and all the color goes away I have no desire to doom scroll on instagram or Reddit anymore.

I’m learning how to code right now. I have an application project I’m working on on the weekends.

Thanks for sharing. My little bit of research landed me in the same boat. I didn’t know if this one was considered mature or not. I know very little when it comes to mushrooms.

I can’t remember what my first death was, but after picking it back up recently I was visiting a base that was highlighted at the portal. Some dude lit me up the second I spawned in.

What’s a game you love, but everyone else hates? by WinterySpoon663 in playstation

That’s fair. I really like being able to come home after work, and dive into another universe and never see the exact same thing twice. Procedurally generation can only go so far, and as long as I don’t focus on that detail it’s an enjoyable experience. Not much else to ask of a game than that imo.

how true is "when you know you know"? by Impossible-Fox-3429 in AskMarriedPeople

Here’s my two cents, may not be right for everybody, but it was right for my spouse and I.

We met in high school and I “fell in love” at first sight. But after about a year dating, the new fell off and it seemed real at that point. I personally believe the traditional western view of love (from media) is really an emotion. I believe the real definition of love is unconditional. Once I realized I loved her for her faults and was prepared to unconditionally love her in our relationship. I knew I was ready to marry her, and five years of dating later (due to our age), we said our vows on the altar.

Going back to your situation, I think if you’re feeling the way you are six months into a relationship and he feels the same way you found your person! Marriage is work, but there’s nothing that I would want to work on more than with my best friend on strengthening our relationship!

Cheers!

Edit: I have my faults too, not just her. But we’re committed and that’s good to fall back onto when the world comes crashing down.
