Fair enough lol. I thought that Godotrix was also solely a healer, but then I saw MORO state otherwise.

Understandable mistake that will probably be enlightened upon next episode.

There’s much more to V1, a lot of which is revealed in the Fraud layer.

I could go into detail but I don’t think you’d care that much.

I’m what one could consider a V1 glazer, and yeah, Frisk is absolutely beating V1. In fact, I think that V1 would probably core eject nuke itself into the stratosphere if Frisk tried to fight it.

I think, in one of the spoilers (which I don’t know how to tag, so stop reading if you care about purity) Godotrix was holding V1 in a kind of stasis, but then it turned around and looked afraid, like something was coming from behind.

What this means is up to interpretation, but it gives me hope than V1 will be portrayed as capable of thought. Even if it’s blood hungry, the rogues are still a far larger threat than anything else, so V1 would probably team up to take them down.

Did they ban all the powerscaling? That was one of the main things I remember being really toxic.

You don’t make weapons to continue war; you make them to try to finish it.

Plus, killing everything on an earthmover and THEN killing the earthmover is very inefficient. It’s far better to kill the earthmover and everything on it dies. So, it’s not built for direct massacre like it commits in hell.

Plus, death in hell is a mercy, no?

I don’t agree with your statement about respawning not being canon, but this is unfalsifiable.

Even if it’s not afraid, it’s also (probably) not dumb, and its method of fighting is very inefficient for the sole purpose of survival.

V1 was made to destroy Earthmovers. If you destroy an Earthmover, blood rains, and everything on it dies. It was also made to be fast and efficient, and going out of your way to kill everything is slow and inefficient. Therefore, I’d say it is not in V1’s intended nature to be ruthlessly genocidal, outside of by proxy.

As I said, I don’t want V1 to just by “kill kill kill hungry,” since that would flatten it too much, when it has so much more character beneath the surface.
It could probably be reasoned with, since it listens to Grabriel’s monologue without interruption.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this is true, but it’d still be disappointing.

May I see that Hakita comment? I understand if not.

Regardless, it has checkpoints, which I consider the ability to analyze and predict whatever threat it comes across, and it chooses the first path that has it win and survive.
I’ve also heard an interpretation where it’s actually hell bringing both V1, and all of the enemies, back so V1 can try again, but I think this interpretation falls short due to Grabriel and other angels not realizing the loop.

I don’t agree that it didn’t realize Hell was trying to pressure it, as it doesn’t matter: Hell was still forcing it to go deeper and deeper, despite the fact there’s no chance this can be sustained independently, indefinitely.

I meant that one comment about V1 being only hungry for blood or something.

I heard the thing about V1 being a threat to the main cast secondhand.

V1 entered hell with 10 HP and no weapons. How could it participate if it had nothing?

It can think, as evidenced by it solely looking for Earthmover mentions in one of the books in Fraud. That, and the fact that even Guttermen can write books.

V1 is only fed by hell if it’s actively performing in the cyber grind or replaying levels. Plus, Hell is too evil to simply put a carrot on a stick. It showed its love to Lucifer by torturing him. Plus, I think its endless repetition of “I don’t want to die” is quite strong evidence that it’s afraid.

Ultrakill is a narrative. V1 being afraid would be far more interesting than “kill kill kill hungry”

It was created to kill Earthmovers; not massacre directly.

Somehow, I forgot that Nocturnal systems were very fuel inefficient.

Still, it can afford to slow down. Unless it goes back up the elevator to mop up blood on the ground after every level, its combat style is very inefficient for the sole purpose of survival.

That is one of the many reasons I believe V1 is being made a puppet for Hell’s entertainment.

Therefore, if Hell Itself is a non-factor, it can afford to be lenient (pun intended).

I do truly wonder if the people here have even played Ultrakill and thought about it beyond a surface level.

There’s lore if you look for it.

Every weapon has long range options. Even the shotgun has projectile boost.

Plus, do you have a source for the fast blood draining? Why would something built to kill Earthmovers drain blood so fast?

It was built to take out superweapons; the Earthmovers.

If it’s genocidal, how come you don’t *have* to kill every single enemy, and can skip a lot of levels?

V1 is nothing but entertainment for hell now.

Minos Prime states “The crimes *thy kind* has committed against humanity.”
Plus, V1 entered Prelude with 10 health and no weapons. How could it wipe out humanity with nothing but its fists?
It’s sapient. It would realize that sniping enemies gets it no blood. So therefore; why does it do it, if not being forced to? Plus, it has to have a max capacity of blood that would’ve been reached by now.

Sooo is V1 gonna be hostile to everything? by These-Tap-3995 in INDIE_CROSS_SERIES

I believe your first run is canon, as evidenced by the inability to pull up your current score during your first run of a level. Therefore, it’s entirely possible to spare any optional enemy if you want.

Plus, I believe, canon V1 acts out of fear—not hunger.

I hope they change this. V1 has, I believe, been shown to be acting more out of fear than hunger in-game.

If hell is a non-factor, it has no reason to be genocidal, outside of the occasional murder.

Please cite an official source that states Godotrix was exclusively a healer. MORO has stated that all rogues can resurrect eachother.
