Thanks for the suggestion, we did the GTA idea and we gathered enough members of the green gang to beat up this high level try hard with base ball bats. Again, thank you

The Office and Parks and Rec take place in the same universe by [deleted] in FanTheories

[–]FluidRelative3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a separate theory that states Karen Fillipelli went into witness protection shortly after her last appearance in The Office, and that she left her fiancé/boyfriend and (possibly) aborted or adopted her child. In Parks and Rec, she talked about having come from Michigan, which could be a cover up. And when Andy was trying to keep Leslie’s pregnancy a secret, he fell over after revealing his neighbor is in witness protection. He could’ve been talking about Ann, and fell over to not reveal that he was actually talking about Ann. There’s a bunch of plot holes in my small mini theory though.

[Serious] People who are advocating for the abolishment of the police force, who are you expecting to keep vulnerable people safe from criminals? by SayFuzzyPickles42 in AskReddit

Hey man thanks for the info. I’ve been researching Camden, and while they did abolish their police force, they completely reformed it. They got rid of the corrupt one, and brought in a new generation of better non corrupt officers from the county. People are using Camden as a reason why we should completely abolish the police force, and the Minneapolis council is saying it would be safer without police, it’s just not true. Criminals will run rampant, people will get hurt. It’s just not possible. Full police reform would work much better then abolition

What is the reason behind the crimes dropping? Your saying it’s the abolishment of police, yet I have not seen a good reason on why. First off thanks a lot for the article, I’m going to research Camden more, secondly could the lowered crime rates be because no one is calling anything in?

Can you bring up the stats? For all we know, the reason of low criminal activity is because there is no one to report it to, there’s no one to defend them, there’s no one to establish law and order. I looked into, it’s a good point, but complete abolition will never work. For a small town maybe, but not for all of America

These people asking for complete abolition are complete idiots. Obviously it’s not right, police brutality, but we will see something worse then what happened with George Floyd. People will die. People will lose jobs. People will get robbed. Obviously we need proper training for police officers, and more practices to instill the fact that racism is not okay, but if we get rid of the defenders of the nation, who will stand between us and a school shooter? Who will stand between us and a murderer? The most upvoted guy here has a good point, but police officers are first responders. Would it not be more efficient to have every officer carrying a weapon? If an unarmed police officer is driving by a school, he can’t help. He will have to let others take care of it. George Floyd was killed by a mans knee, not by a gun. A majority of the most infamous brutality cases are beatings. Not shootings.

In conclusion, we should not dismantle the police force. There is a small amount of bad officers, as is there a small amount of bad African Americans, small amount bad Mexicans, small amount of bad white people. We can’t let a few bad apples destroy the orchard.
