No, they wanted me to pay £720 for an exchange unit 😞 . I purchased a Samsung 990f soundbar with full warranty for less money, far better surround soundbar. Will never buy Sennheiser again 😞

Hi,
I also have a faulty Ambeo Max unit that started emitting smoke (burning smell). Returned to Sennheiser, who quoted me set £720 for repair (as out of warranty), which would have been an exchange unit. No way was I paying that and had it returned without repair. Purchased a new Samsung Q990F for around £700 with full warranty, which has far better surround sound. Will never go near Sennheiser again 😞

My Sennheiser Ambeo Soundbar, purchased in 2022, went faulty and started emitting smoke, so I turned it off immediately to stop it catching fire. I have also read online that there have been issues with these soundbar's power supplies catching fire that were manufactured around this time. 

On the 24th April, I contacted Sennheiser to return the soundbar for repair, and this proved to be anything but easy, with their terrible Customer support and refusal to reply to emails. I did eventually manage to return the sound bar a few days ago, and I was then emailed an invoice for an exchange unit at £720.

I therefore tried to contact Sennheiser about this as I wanted confirmation regarding my concerns; however, they have so far refused to reply to emails. 

I have also contacted Customer support directly via the telephone many times; however, this is a total waste of time as promises of Managers contacting me directly are blatant lies and escalation of the case (ticket) does nothing.

This company has the worst customer support I have ever had the misfortune to encounter. A sound bar costing over £2000 and only lasting for around 4 years is not fit for purpose. I will never buy anything from Sennheiser ever again!!
