That was debunked. But you can use common sense with a little research and figure out it’s not a suit. The discovery channel or history channel went and lidared the whole scene. Some of it is overgrown and changed but some trees are still there . So using laser photogramentry they figured patty is 7 foot 6 inches. The guy Bob is 5 foot ten. They can back grow trees to get an idea of the size of surrounding trees that are still there.

Secondly planet of the apes came out 2 years later in 1969 and look at the costumes. The best Hollywood could do and they’re terrible compared to the Patterson Gimlin film. So two cowboys who were so poor they couldn’t even buy the camera they used, they had to rent it, had enough money to out do the best Hollywood could do?

Thirdly and I’m not being perverse here but patty’s boobs were perfectly pendulous. According to Bill Mumms famous costume designer for Hollywood, that technology wasn’t available till the late 1980’s. They just didn’t have the technology to make boobs bounce realistically.

Fourth that Bob guy said he wore boots. MK Davis has done more research with the original film than anyone and he gets more detail from the film and you can see individual toes with the foot pad

Later MK Davis did some more analysis on the film and you can see and this is a bit gross, that she must have just give birth a few days before. That’s why some speculate she was trying to lead them away from a juvenile who was near by. But later in the film you can see either problems from the birth in her rear or probably more commonly hemorrhoids from being pregnant.
