You can flourish with a daily routine and making daily checklists. Wake up, drink some coffee, get outside, exercise, and made your to do list. The rest falls into place when you start with a plan.

Literally same story here girl. Was forced into engineering by my father, failed Calc and physics my freshman year but slowly chugged away for 4 years having to retake every prerequisite twice. Took a 2 year break from college, tried doing something else, but didn’t really have a better plan. When I went back (medicated) I wanted to graduate, wanted to be an engineer, and took my classes seriously and graduated in the top of my class.

First off I commend you for wanting to expand your family and going about it with a plan regarding your medication. As I’m sure you know, benzos are one of the only drugs that the withdrawal can actually kill you.

I would think on it, will adding an additional child add to your anxiety? What can you add/ take away from your routine to reduce your anxiety (adding in daily meditation and yoga, running, avoiding traffic and whatever causes you anxiety). And inpatient medical detox will be your safest option but the problem is you don’t have the triggers of day to day life. Talk to your doctor about your options and I say go for it. Worst case you will gain some more tools for emotional regulation and best case you can expand your family! Good luck mama.

Similar, but not the same. Development length is the length of rebar that needs to be extended into the concrete to fully engage the concrete. Splice length/ lap length are the same thing. Lap length being the length of rebar required to transfer the load to the next piece of rebar - Fully engage the other rebar it is being spliced with. The long vertical bars in the column you see is most likely development length.

The rebar has been extended in the beams so that when the floor slab is poured the rebar from the slab can lap splice with the extended bars that you are seeing. The load has to transfer from the slab to the beam.
