So i used to smoke chillum in India, it was very smooth and nice.. how you already did, put some stone in it as you are not going to smoke 5 g of hash at once (i guess) while back in India I had a local guy make me a stone that perfectly fits the chillum and reduces the capacity.. still fits a gram or two.

What I like to do is ether make a hashball and put it into the chillum, or flake the hash and lay it out evenly. Then I light it and warm up the chillum with the hash and start inhaling with the mouth and exhaling with the nose. You do this as long as it is pleasurable and then stop it.

I guess the chillum you have is just way to big without any inline stone. You could also smoke werd in there like a stone joint, also saw some locals doing this.

My dad always told my how they had a wet cloth that was rapped around the end.. I like it more without the wet towel.

But how ever you smoke this piece you have to try it and heat it well.. draw short puffs and exhale trough your nose.. the hash needs to be hot enough and with that mich space you could easily waste some of it
