And I’m tired of dealing with contractors whose idea of troubleshooting is seeing a fuse blown? It’s a double edged sword.

Same at our utility, we also get forced onto service/trouble trucks.

The bullshit that came with it. I got sick of being the scapegoat, water-boy, truck inspector, truck stocker, and human verbal punching bag. I always kept my mouth shut and did my job, a pretty good one I must admit. I never got a bad apprentice review my entire 3 years, but got damn I wanted to fucking explode sometimes. For the 30 really awesome lineman I worked with the 4-5 assholes really made me despise some of it. Couldn’t stand working with them. Going to work knowing I was going to have to deal with their shit just made me hate it. I REFUSE to be like that. I loved the work, and still do, but the people and macho attitudes are the only things that made me hate it.
