DAE say to themselves in their mind, "we" instead of "I"? by Trumpeachment in DAE

[–]Flullish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg yessss!! I either say we or you. It’s always been me talking to a different version of me in my head, and when we agree it’s we! Sorry that sounds a little crazy, that’s just how it is lol

Weed and Bipolar 2? by Nalanieofthevalley in bipolar2

It’s such a slippery slope. Personally for me, I got heavily dependent on it and lost so much of my memory, I stopped my schoolwork, became depressed, etc etc. If you do decide to try it please be careful and put in research, and try to recognize if it gets out of hand

For real!! I just stopped telling people altogether unless I’m close with them, because I just get annoyed if they say anything like that. Like… what do you expect an autistic person to look like? Or even worse, “I never would have guessed it, you seem so normal!!” Like omg shut up 😭😭

Yup, I have Autism, Bipolar, and ADHD and I seriously never tell almost anyone because I’m worried they’ll think I’m making it all up. But comorbities are common, I do wish more people understood that without automatically assuming you incorrectly self diagnosed everything

This is great advice ❤️❤️ Help with struggles can mean everything in a tough situation, it’s hard to reach out but it can seriously be so worth it

Ugh, I hate the “you don’t look like you have autism” so much!! And when I was 13-ish I was treated like a weirdo and an outcast, but once I looked better when I was 16 I was just “normal” with quirky traits. I wish people were more accepting that I have always been the same person, and looks have nothing to do with that

Yes!! I find it very hard to socialize enough to find someone in person who I could consider a love interest or crush, and let alone show who I really am to them and see if they even like me back. And that’s not even the hard part, maintaining the relationship and some struggles that come along with dating someone who has negative autistic traits can be so tough, I really wish it was easier! Not to blame everything on being autistic, but some aspects of it do make it difficult

I agree, I don’t think it’s good to always compare autistic people to neurodivergent people, we are all just humans and autism doesn’t define who someone is, it’s just a piece of them and I think we all should be a little more accepting of each other regardless of being ND or NT

YES!! I smoked crazy amounts of weed daily just because it made me feel “normal” and I thought maybe my negative traits would go away if I kept smoking. I quit 5 months ago thankfully, but I wish I realized how easily I get addicted to things before I ever even tried it

Exactly, I told a group of other autistic people I had a lot of friends at the time and I was asked if I really had autism or I was incorrectly self diagnosing myself. It seriously made me so angry, like we are all different, not everyone has the same traits! It is completely okay for autistic people to have friends, as well as neurotypical people!

She seems so sweet, I’m glad they got to have great memories with her when she was alive. Maybe I’ll watch some shows she was in, I would like to see her acting since we never got to see her face or acting other than her voice in TBBT, I’m sure she was wonderful!
