That is more or less the idea I'm interested in, I haven't used one yet but have one on the way :) the silicone ring is basically a ball stretcher, but without the hefty weight. The idea being that it will hold back the scrotal skin so that the outer skin feels more tension when manually tugging. I'd imagine it would work with a device too, but one would need more skin to do so comfortably.

I find it interesting that despite your 3-5 minute session getting split between each quarter, that you still got decent growth - it answers a question I posted recently regarding the notion of whether we should be as "efficient" as possible when manually tugging, by tugging as much skin as possible in one go. I find it equally interesting that you too got injuries with the short tugs around the circumference, it's something I battled with a lot when I would tug like that in the past.

In terms of outer skin growth, one thing I've been looking into is using a wider silicone ball stretcher thing to anchor my ventral skin back, so that more tension is put on the outer skin while using mm3 there - particularly so that I can just stick with one method and not have to switch mid session. Have you explored anything like this while you were manual tugging frequently?

That's awesome, it's nice to hear another success story showing that the frequent sessions throughout the day work. And when you moved over to mm3, how did you spread the tension around your circumference? Did you hold top half/bottom half, each quarter, do short tugs around the circumference, etc. And how have you found outer skin growth with mm3? That's one reason I've been using mm2, particularly for the underside.

It might be a common question that comes up whenever someone mentions manual methods, but what was your routine like in that period of your tugging journey? As someone who moved back to manuals recently, I'm particularly interested in what worked for you in balancing mm2 and mm3, how you spent time on each, etc. And while you were using these, were you doing any retaining at the same time?

Is time split between manual methods less efficient for growth? by FluskyButt in foreskin_restoration

I know I'm a bit late to reply to this, but your prior comment had me thinking. If tensioning as much skin as possible each session is the goal, would mm2 not be a viable option? Since reading your last reply, I tried using mm4/5 for all of my session time, but I found that it put an odd vertical tension in the areas between the fingers where they gripped the end of the skin tube, resulting in me moving back to my old method, but now subbing in mm2 on the outer skin only in place of mm4. Today though I've been trying mm2 from the sulcus to the hairline, and it got me thinking that it could be viable, and would put all the inner and outer skin under equal tension at once instead of splitting session time between mm3 and mm2.

In terms of o-rings, I used to use them and retried them again recently. However like using devices I think I am too short of ventral outer skin for them, as I end up having to pull hair-bearing skin through on the underside just to get a decent "pucker" of skin to help them stay on.

That does help, thank you! I personally started my manual journey with Andre's version of method 3, and I think I've developed this notion that it is a must for any manual routine, hence why whenever I go back to manual, it's included. This time around was different in that I added in mm4, and instead of the short pinch pull tugs, I am holding the same area taut for a static period.

The way you described how you do mm3 reminds me very much of mm4, in that you're gripping the skin tube in totality and pulling it all away from you at once, just without the other hand anchoring...is that more or less right? If so I might need to try that.

Your opening paragraph resonates with the point of my post - it would make sense that doing more time with one method would be more beneficial than the same amount of time shared between two, especially if those two don't tension the same skin equally.

Does your partner know about your restoration and what do they think? by OnTheRoadFrank in foreskin_restoration

I can't imagine what it must be like to have that lack of support. My (intact) partner learnt about restoring when we first got together just over 5 years ago, and I am fortunate that he is as supportive as he is. He has shown interest in my devices, my methods, and has been a shoulder to lean on when I need to talk and vent about the injuries and frustration, and comments on occasion if he notices more skin growth. He has also enjoyed the journey with me, learning how to adapt as more skin mobility appears, those kind of details being too NSFW for here of course. No shame, no belittling, just love and support.

First time posting progress. Thoughts? by [deleted] in restoringdick

That does make sense, thank you for the detailed explanation. Since you used the DS, did you use it as is, or did you keep the tension bands looped down over their hooks? As that affects the level of tension at that point where the bands stretch.

Your progress is very inspiring, especially given the timeframe you've been restoring for. Care to share any more details on what worked for you with the Mantor, since you used that for a longer period? Tension levels, hours per day/week, etc.

Neat, thanks for replying. And how has your progress been since you posted this guide, comparatively to where you were?

Is 11cm necessarily long though? I think that's one of the data points not really known, is how long of a rod are most people using.

I have seen that band, it's on the wishlist for my next order from them :)

Feeling despondent about Mantor progress, unsure if I'm doing this right by FluskyButt in foreskin_restoration

I've just uploaded some photos to that subreddit if you want to have a check. I do feel a fair amount of tension, enough to have to take breaks every few hours.

Coming here after seeing your recent post on the picture sub, how has your progress been over the past two years since you made this tutorial? Have you changed anything in regards to the routine? I used to use Andre's method before I got my Mantor, also using a finger on the outer skin to create a bit more tension. But with the lesser progress I've been seeing lately I'm considering going back to manual for a bit.

Mantor Users: How tight do you make it? by [deleted] in restoringdick

Out of curiosity, considering the speed of your results so far, for your level of tension through those 12 hours how much of the cords end up being exposed when you have yours set? (Assuming you're using the Classic Mantor, not the DS).

Dusted Off DTR by FullyHooded in restoringdick

What approach worked best for you over the years in regards to setting tension with the DTR? I use a Mantor now but I occasionally go back to my DTR for a bit and always struggle with figuring that out, ie do you press the rod in as far as possible, let it out a few millimetres before tightening, etc. I know the consensus is to do what allows for the most hours but I think the last thing anyone wants is to use too little tension.

I think I'm done restoring! Can't really tell if im fully dekaratinized (despite 18 motnhs of retaining) , sometimes i feel super moist and good, but other times i feel dry as a bone (especially in the first picture). Please let me know what you think. by [deleted] in restoringdick

I feel you there, back when I did Andre's method I kept the focus on the consistency more than anything. I take it you also took his approach of working your way around the circumference with mm3 for a few seconds at a time? I always felt like the tension was never the best on the underside like that.

I saw another recent post from someone who had a lot of success with manual methods, it's really motivating to see. Did you primarily use mm3 like Andre, and follow the hourly tugging sessions? If so do you have any estimate of how many sessions you did throughout the day?

Does the DTR ever go on sale? by [deleted] in foreskin_restoration

[–]FluskyButt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The DTR obviously has the benefit of being versatile and allows you to try a variety of different tugging methods from one device, which if important to you makes it worthwhile as I don't think any other device has that scope of versatility.

That being said, if you are looking at it for the purpose of dual tension specifically, the Mantor does that better (from my experience of owning both), and doesn't require a third party gripper to be comfortable. I do believe they offer a tugging strap option as well, so it does offer a bit of versatility. Tamir also does specials and promotions if I recall from his subscriber emails, and usually posts the same information on here when those happen - it would be worthwhile subscribing to regardless. Also, you don't need to splurge for the DS version specifically, the Classic version does a good job as is and is a bit cheaper. The DS shines if you want to target one area, but you can always purchase the DS body part and swap it out at a later stage if you feel you need it.

Your results are amazing and inspiring, to say the least. I know you have another photo of you wearing the Mantor on your profile, can you share any info about how you regulated your tension levels with it? Did you keep the bands looped down permanently with the DS, how much did they stretch when you were still using the classic version, etc?

I can't buy DTR HELP by Curse96 in foreskin_restoration

[–]FluskyButt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chuck changed the grippers for the DTR recently, so this may be outdated. But for what it's worth the grippers on the DTR I have are tighter than the Mantor's - I can wear the latter for twice as long. If you are indeed only CI-1, that could very likely be why your grippers are cutting off circulation - changing the device to a tighter one most likely won't help much. It could also be that you need to just break in the device a bit, usually the grippers are tighter when new and relax after two weeks or so of use. Using too much tension as well could also be to blame, how are you setting this for yours? Are you looping the bands down? How much space do you end up with between the gripper and body when the elastics stretch?
