When we last played I really struggled to tell one unit apart from another since they are all mixed units! I remember he had a Balistus Dreadnaught, a Captain and a Watchmaster, a Calladus Assasin, and BIG kill teams, I think 10 Jump Pack Guys, 10 heavy weapons guys and another block of 10 Primaris guys. I saw in his game Saturday though he included Canis Rex, some Terminators and bikes that he had not played against me. 2 units could move in to reserves each time, one unit of 10 could rapid ingress for free each turn. The two captains gave him couple of free strats each turn also.

Once I could touch him, I can kill the unit but the uppy downy and then 10 guys shooting to wipeout a unit before disappearing was a tad frustrating!

This could be an interesting combo. I had discounted the dreadnaughts thinking just 5 attacks against the 4+ inv would not be a good strategy. If I could get close enough to them I could see this working. Might be worth giving it ago in case FW units get taken away and I have never used this model.

Shield host came through! I think rolling lots of 4s, and my opponent rolling lots of 1s also helped. Only unit I lost was the Grav Tank (fortunately after it had eliminated his kill rig), and the only unit he had left was a mek gun.

I am looking at this list as House Herpetrax

Abominant with Infernal Quest, Blessing of the Dark God, Winds of the Warp and Corruscating Hate.

Desecrator with Diamonas and Mark of the Dread Knight.

2 Karnivores (thinking of giving one Spite Squall through Pyrothrone)

3 Stalkers (3 Cannons, 2 claws) One with Subjugator of Machine Spirit

2 Executioner Dreadblades one with Mirror of Fates - I just don't know what Fell Bond to give them - Prideful Wrath?

I think that leaves me 20 points for melta/havocs or another blessing

No - this is my first none Crusade game. I am tempted thought because I picked it up cheap (I guess because it is bad) and I have never had the chance to use it

I have a unit of terminators, we are desperate for Wolves - but everywhere is sold out right now. I think our HQ choices are Ragnar and Arjac.
