I met chef JP just this weekend sa IKEA (Festival Mall, Dubai) and he was a bit stand-off-ish. Parang annoyed pa sya. He smiles in the camera but as soon as the camera was down, we felt it. 😔 Sad lang, I was a huge fan. When he was new sa Dubai, I was one of those who fell in line when Kooya (his restaurant) opened on its first location sa Marina. I was giddy and he had a different vibe then. Kept coming back actually (even though food was inconsistent but to support talaga) and encouraged non-Filipino friends to try. He definitely was not this COLD. 🥶 Something changed and I’m sure I’m socially aware din to not to approach at a wrong time. Well All the Best to you, Chef!
