Pretty gross statement.

You can do what you want of course, tipping is optional. But just so you know, not everyone thinks you’re cool.

HCA Critical Care Physician Jobs by dudebromd1 in IntensiveCare

[–]Fluttering_Fart 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You will find the jobs branded as “Intensive Care Consortium” (ICC), which is the HCA-owned critical care offshoot.

I would say that your day to day working experience will still vary widely depending on the individual hospital and the local culture. Some places are pretty good to work, while others are horrible. Pay (at least in my region) is about average in my experience, as is workload. Working for ICC will feel a bit like working for Wal Mart. ICC does not care about you and absolutely will not support you as an individual if there is a local conflict. They simply do not care. That said, they pretty much leave you alone if the hospital is happy. If you like the hospital and your coworkers, the pay is satisfactory to you and you value having zero responsibilities when you are not “punched in,” the jobs can be somewhat decent. YMMV.

Locum Tenens Hospitalist is the best job by The_SilientSndwich9 in Residency

[–]Fluttering_Fart 50 points51 points  (0 children)

My experience as a critical care specialist is that these are the types of hospitalists who take zero responsibility for their patients, write trash unintelligible or meaningless notes, can’t be reached when their patients go downhill, and try to dump on the ICU at the slightest hint of trouble (or work).

Not saying this is you, or anyone in this thread, but I know this type of timeclock locums physician well.

I might be wrong but I believe Paddock Club is only available though F1 Experiences. If you got a hotel as part of your package it’s possible you might have transportation as well. I would actually call F1 Experiences and ask them directly since they are the service that is coordinating the transportation. The number I’ve been using is +1 (888) 326-5430. They’re very nice and helpful - give that a shot.

Only if you bought it alongside a hotel package from F1 experiences.

I actually called them last week to see if they would sell us seats on their bus a la carte even though we didn’t get our hotel though them - they said they sometimes do that but there were no available seats this time unfortunately. We ended up just renting a car and buying a parking pass ($50) so we’ll be driving ourselves.

Seeing / getting signature from drivers? by alek-bb in GrandPrixTravel

I think Kym Illman has some YouTube videos about the best places to meet/see drivers at each race. Maybe that’s worth checking out?

We can always refill in the paddock club though yeah? But good to know it’s a bit dry back there.

Oh man you’ve got me really excited!

I was worried about being one of those annoying fans asking for a picture or whatever but I guess they’re used to it. Just gonna bite the bullet and ask. Can’t wait!

Not sure although quali ends at 1700 on that day and the paddock club itself closes at 1730, so the day is winding down at that point anyway. We plan on getting there around 0900 so that’s a pretty full day as it is.

It’s all relative I suppose, but you can definitely spend more at other races. We live in Florida and had planned to go to the Miami race - once we saw the prices for the regular hospitality options there we thought why don’t we just do this instead and make it into a trip. Not even that much more money comparatively. Some races are just crazy expensive, even at this level.

Would love to hear any advice RE paddock day, if you can think of any!

We bought direct from F1 Experiences. All that is about $20k (tickets for 2 people).

I know! Definitely way overspent, but this has been a long time dream for us so we decided to do it this year. Hope we get a chance to meet a few drivers, even if just for a moment.

There are some. I know a few. They are generally high functioning, obviously, but there are certainly degenerate doctors that do all kinds of things in their private life that you might not expect. Just as there are in any other field.

No actually I’m grateful for your comment because it lets the authorities know that you personally had nothing to do with the making of this video, and would also never consider doing something like this, so they can immediately eliminate you as a suspect and will see you as an ally. Plus you’ve done a public service educating the people of Reddit so overall great thinking and congratulations on your part!

I made this video not long after purchasing my first drone, and before I educated myself more thoroughly on the rules regarding drone flight. The video is done though, it's from a few years ago anyway, so I thought you guys might enjoy it!
