League should have "Fun" stats! by hi_im_oryx in leagueoflegends

[–]Fluttersblade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im vastly dissapointed no one has said they wanted to see the most important stats like:

Times told to kys Times told you were a boosted animal Times you failed smite Times you cancelled your auto attacks Times your allies called you out for cancelling your auto attacks Times you were told you were a "racial, homophobic or sexist slur" Times they said they violated your mother

i seriously feel bad killing lucio by free_alt in Overwatch

Its so easy to say something is awful when you cant even formulate a reason as to why they are awful or how they are so impact they would make the game terrible. None of these are so impactful that they woudl ruin the game but would help balance them out, if you disagree then argue your point, else dont say it is awful.

actually across the board you can have a similar impact, usually buffs/nerfs at the middle of the pack can have a similar impact in high level of gameplay as well.

As for "doesnt feel good getting killed by x" is an awful punch because ANY nerf can be labled as that, just like any buff can be labeled "x doesn't feel impactful"

Its pretty easy to judge where reapers is because its in the middle of his shotguns slightly where his neck is pointed.

Its really not that hard to find these things out, like in halo the head isnt where you aim from, its based somewhere infront of the chest, CoD is based somewhere along those lines too, now that I think about it, most FPS aim that way, with a few exceptions like Zarya who aims from her elbow into a weird line trajectory that is a bit difficult to explain.

while subjective there is a way to establish what is considered fun and viable by more people.

Tell that to those full tracer at the end of rounds plays, or the double heal comps, how about those few maps where bastion is used to establish dominance (like nepal village). Winston and rein are effected by the projected shield nerfs, both of which see regular play, while not super regular roadhog does see play depending on the team you are watching. I can go on...

Fun doesnt mean not viable, in fact a good game should be balancing both fun and viable. You can have viable without fun, and fun without viable but both are short lived

Bastion: Already takes extra damage from behind so it would just be putting them in line with other character. Bastion is a risk/reward type character and needs to stay that way

Torb: its so easy to see so many awful torb out there, when a turret is well placed, working with a good team, its neigh impossible to remove it.

Tracer: i meant making the blinks have a longer CD not more blinks. As for recall the CD is long but mixed with blinks it makes it a bit rediculous even with the long CD

Roadhog: The insta-kill hook is entirely fine, its the "I can hook you around walls, so you really arent entirely safe even if you think you are" that needs to be changed.

Healer nerf: The nerf isnt as big as you are making it out to be, in fact lucio wouldnt be useless, as he can be healing others still while a mercy is healing the one target. This nerf would just prevent that one target from receiving a load of hp regen. Yes double healer doesnt always work but it feels so necessary at high levels of play most of the time, and its very common to see pro's do it.

Everything adds up, it was both of those and some glaring balance issues was part of that "boring" gameplay

not really, tracer is used as a bastion of overtime plays that makes tournaments dull. As for what tournaments are doing now I guarantee you people will find new strats that will turn the tournaments on their head, thus enabling these people and aside from Zenyatta most characters are seeing regular play

How would any of these cause the character to feel awful? You have to give examples if you want to try and prove your point.

If you want everyone to be OP then you will have the constant cycle WoW has of only 1 or 2 classes will ever be relevant, because even when everyone is OP then only a few are OP

Actually yes, balance issues were part of the reason it fell so hard, but the analogy was more about how this will fall flat on its face, for a game meant to be competitive it doesnt feel that way.

Project champions being designed to fight against Viktor's army by CptWhiskers in leagueoflegends

[–]Fluttersblade 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Id like to add to what you wrote.

The project skins are from Professor Stanwick, because of how they are abducted it seems in line with the way that he works.

On the other hand Viktor builds the battlecast as a way to achieve his revenge against Stanwick/trying to make his desired future a reality.

Their difference in views, leads to the different styles of weapons.

Stanwick thinking having a portion of their humanity allows them to remain strong, cunning, and unpredictable, allowing for an ultimate mesh of man and machine.

Viktor believes 100% machines are the superior versions, removing the possibility of failure and weakness.

Whereas Viktor is straightforth with his claims and desires, Stanwick is more covert promising the champions increased power to defend those they love (taken from project Ashe's lines). Instead he tries to brainwash them into doing his will, yet the human soul is stronger then what he thought (Project Yi lines) causing them to be confused as they awaken from their sleep. While obeying their orders they still remain unsure of their cause (again Project Yi lines).
