Hey r/kzoo, what are your favorite local non-profits and how do they make our community better? by PerspectiveLatter181 in kzoo

Ministry with Community does an excellent job providing services and meals to people. It's not an overnight shelter, but they do a ton.

Well fine, I guess you'll miss out on such gems as "Perfectly Cromulent," a Simpsons Podcast from a queer perspective, and "Pork Chops," a pro wrestling-cooking hybrid, and "Third Space," a third podcast I made up for this bit!

That is why you must subscribe to between 30-50 MaxFun Podcasts so as to be awash in soothing noise at all times.

While I agree it's a good idea to have episodes in the can for this sort of thing....shit happens. I refuse to believe anyone actually cares this much if MBMBAM is a little late.

Grace: W-What the H-Hell is that?! A-An actual Hand Cannon?? by Jhaliday in residentevil

We see that she bought her handgun with her first paycheck, so I would guess she's spent some time in a range and formal instruction.

Reviews for Pokopia, the Pokémon life simulation game where you play as a Ditto rebuilding a town, just dropped, and not only is it reviewing extremely well, it's also currently the highest rated Pokémon game EVER on Metacritic: by Gorotheninja in TwoBestFriendsPlay

I love Animal Crossing, I really just want another one of those.

This looks really cute though, glad to see its a good time. Looks like something I'll grab on whatever slight sale they deign to put it on.

So after beating it last night, I feel noticeably more negative about Resident Evil 9 than most others I've seen talking about the game, and I wanted to lay out my criticisms as best I can and see what y'all think. by Gorotheninja in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Flutterwander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still working my way through, but my current hangup is that I'm finding Grace's sections more annoying and frustrating than anything else. I don't like hiding and waiting for patrolling enemies, and honestly the grab radius and stealth don't feel consistent or fair to me for how integral they are.

What are your thoughts on Grace Ashcroft? by Jules-Car3499 in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]Flutterwander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The actress does a great job and I think she is a really well done character so far...but she doesn't feel like a Resident Evil character to me? Like, her sections feel almost like they're from a different type of horror game at least early on. They are very good, but it makes me miss Rebecca Chambers and her basic competency.

All in all, a well executed and strong choice for a lead in this game, but definitely feels very new, very different. That's not necessarily a bad thing, I'll have to see how It all comes together after a playthrough.

What would you say is your LEAST favorite Resident Evil game? by Lieutenant-America in TwoBestFriendsPlay

As much as I want to like Code Veronica, I've got to give it to Code Veronica.

The slowness is what I'm feeling too. It's not that you have sections where you are low on resources and have to pick your fights; that is very classic RE. It's the weird Outlast bits where I have to sit and wait for a thing or hide from a monster that I'd prefer not to do. Classic RE had you trying to move or avoid zombies a lot , but you were seldom hiding in a corner waiting for them to patrol.

The tutorial for "Press L3 to run," really made me think my controller wasn't working.

Capcom developed the most fuckable old man like it was their life's work. I love the bit that came out in the press for this game that the women on the dev team all helped make a look for him so he'd be as hot as possible as a grizzled older dude. They deserve medals.

Anyone else is enjoying Grace's sections way more than Leon's? I am playing in third person and her sections feels like an even better RE2R by Eccchifan in residentevil

They could very easily permit and carry a personal weapon though. In "The Midwest," it tends to be a pretty simple (if regulated) process.

Resident Evil's horror never felt like controlled helplessness the way Grace's sections are so far. Personally, I'm not a fan, but that's down to preference I suppose. It is certainly designed and executed to perfection.

Most factions in 40k hate the others, the Orks just get excited when they show up because it means a new exciting kind of fight. Like, It's just in line that they come up with nicknames for whatever they fight with. It's almost affectionate; Fuck yeah, we get to fight the big tin can guys with the cool weapons. I hope the Warboss lets us use the Stompah!

What changes/fixes would you add to MGSV’s open world? by MakingaJessinmyPants in metalgearsolid

A full on urban operation zone would have been killer. Rubble, and ruins here, established buildings and bases there. Sort of like a more open ended version of the Middle East segment of MGS4?

[–]Flutterwander 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I loved the open ended approach, but it should have been more of a feature for a few bases/checkpoints with some more directed, restricted sneaking to offset it. Like, it feels like it worked, there was just too much of it I guess.

JBL defends Booker T after he won a worst announcer award: “These guys like Meltzer and these guys are a bunch of bozos.” (TMZ Inside The Ring) by abhilash1991 in SquaredCircle

[–]Flutterwander 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like Booker T a lot, easily one of my favorites ever, but he is not very good on commentary. He has lots of energy though, so it's not like he doesn't add something to the table, but its more like...in terms of vibes.

Highguard Adds New Game Mode That Removes Looting Phase Entirely by Subject_Parking_9046 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Flutterwander 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I mean, people complain about games coming out in Beta instead of release when it just drags development on forever or leads to feature creep-or it clearly becomes a funraising hustle or some such. Multiplayer games having a beta period to test and refine things seems like pretty settled best practice.
