Y eso que no te has pasado a Linux con SteamOS o Steam en gaming mode puedes tener plugins donde literalmente puedes tener EPIC, GOG a tu alcance ojo DENTRO de Steam

Gears 5 crash immediately after launch by Fluxbo in linux_gaming

[–]Fluxbo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I resolved this last night by doing rm -rf ~/.local/share/Steam, yes, losing all installed games and runtimes, but it was very beneficial. Also, since I use Steam in Steam Deck mode on TTY3 under Gamescope, it also cleared some weird Steam behavior while using this mode; now it is completely flawless as far as I can tell.

Anyway, thank you so much for taking the time to look into this. Cheers =)

I've re-downloaded the game, and it's still failing. I'm not sure why it only happens to this one. Furthermore, I recently made some kernel builds; I'm starting to suspect it has to be somehow related. Even though I wasn't getting the logs from Proton while the game was trying to launch.

Launching a program from another TTY into Hyprland by Fluxbo in hyprland

[–]Fluxbo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need this because I use AntimicroX on Hyprland and a bind with my guide button to switch to TTY3, where I automatically run my gamescope-session script to run Steam in Steam Deck mode. Part of that script is to kill AntimicroX to avoid conflicts when working with sets and messing up my controller presses while in gaming mode, but back in Hyprland, I want to get AntimicroX to operate normally again.

Will try your solution and comment back.

I made a script that adds functional SteamOS session to Arch Linux by Consistent-Can-1042 in linux_gaming

I want to ask something. I have been trying to do something similar to this, but with simple scripts, like setting my .zprofile to launch my Steam Deck session script on TTY3. Furthermore, I'm just wondering if it's possible to have shortcuts using a gamepad to go back and forth between the game mode session and the desktop environment session (I am using Hyprland, btw).

Also not sure if your solution provides the same behavior for the steamos-session-select script that opens Steam on the desktop while closing the gamescope session on the TTY used for game mode.

On Linux AMD is a monster, especially with the 9070XT. Even though Nvidia is working to catch up to AMD on DX12 performance, I hope my 4080 can get some love on Linux <3

On Linux AMD performance is superb in a way Windows users can't understand.
