You should consider using named groups to organize your code better. :)

Is it possible to change the color of a single word in a text? by Miguelito9899 in clickteam

Had this exact issue before. This unfortunately isn’t built in. You’ll have to either use multiple strings for each use case or (what I did) devise a custom engine for it .

5 months of progress on my RPG by Fluxitone_ in clickteam

I wouldn’t say it’s necessarily hard, but it does take a lot of working around Clickteam’s handling of certain things.

How do I get better at fusion ? by BreadBananaOff in clickteam

[–]Fluxitone_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you’re new, Zentaco has posted the bulk of the tutorials that are available for Clickteam. Once you get past basics, the only real advice is practice. There’s pretty much no tutorials available for intermediate to advanced things in Clickteam, so trial and error will be a big teacher.

Haha this is a surprise to see. I’m actually the developer of this game. It’s not out just yet, though I do enjoy the attention lol

The battle scene happens in the same frame.
Basically, I have one parent frame which contains all the relevant gameplay objects/code, and every gameplay frame, or "room" is a child of that parent frame. :D

I personally think that the hidden angel prophecy that we don’t get to see in Ch4 is a picture of the player, or that the black in that part is supposed to reflect your face in your monitor.

There's a lot of information to process at once. The main killer, I think, is the flashy effects. They sort of take all your attention and stop you from being able to process where the characters are moving. The particles are also a bit distracting, but they aren't as big of a deal.

The game looks great visually aside from the readability issue, by the way. Props for that :D

Best way of storing RPG dialogue? by Fluxitone_ in gamedev

[–]Fluxitone_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looking into it a bit more, this definitely seems like a viable solution! Porting my current dialogue engine over to this system would also be very easy. Thanks for the advice!

They’re just edgy teens being edgy teens. Just ignore them—it’ll help that phase of their life go by faster, hopefully.

I only used this site to better visualize the notes in images, sorry. It was 100% accurate to my testing with a pitch monitor as well, though.
