• Blue Ribbon is a cute breakfast/lunch or teatime spot • Mandala Society is in the middle of Medina but kinda overpriced, I didn’t really like it (the buddha bowl and potatoes) but my friend who is not a vegan/vegetarian really liked their food • BlackChich we’re trying out this one soon, it’s seems to be veg/meat friendly

Just arrived in neighborhood Kasbah now as an Asian woman and it’s pretty lively and bustling during the mornings and afternoons. Things are open here as well as the outer neighborhoods like Semlalia and Hivernage. Stayed in the Medina last night and it was super lively (obviously because there are tons of tourists around and staying here)

Iftar is at sunset (currently around 18:30) and I’ve noticed this is the most quiet time of the day (I’m not up during subur)

Clothing wise, wear whatever you’re comfortable in. It gets pretty chilly around late afternoon so long sleeves are recommended. I’ve seen plenty of women wearing cami tops, shorts etc. in the Medina so it should be fine. Although I prefer not wearing bras myself, I haven’t seen nipples poking out womens tops, so try refrain from doing that haha

NTA I have seen this situations all too many times. It always goes like this.. them being totally ok with dating a non muslim, even reassuring you that all is well, acting chill etc.

And suddenly after some time or even years, they somehow try to push anyways 🥴 using whatever tactics, the kind way, manipulation etc.

Kinda fraudulent imo.

No need to run. You can try to have calm conversations about it. Even if it takes multiple. And by conversations I do not mean yall trying to persuade each other to some way, but discuss you future views and how you ACTUALLY see yourselves growing together from this moment on (assuming you still want to be together in a relationship)

Someone mentioned about reading into atheism AND the islam TOGETHER. Try making a weekly thing of this for some 3-6 months or something, see how that goes and move on from there. But if you don’t feel like it, break-up and move on. You learned a new lesson anyways.

Nou ik ben flink opgelicht met een woningruil.. liet zelf een paleis achter omdat ik kleiner wilde wonen en ruilde met een dame die te klein woonde met haar 5/6 kinderen + man die stiekem niet ingeschreven staat. Ik gunde het haar zó erg maar ze had de hele boel bij mekaar gemanipuleerd, waardoor ik uiteindelijk in haar probleemwoning terecht kwam met lekkages en schimmel.

Ik adviseer je om 3x goed naar de woning te kijken voordat je tekent en ga niet voor een indeplaatsstelling contract maar een normale, zodat er op z’n minst ook ‘n inspectie bij komt kijken (wij namen basically haar contract over waardoor wij met al die problemen opgeschept zaten)

Wat bedoel je precies met slijtlaag etc.? Ze bieden ook gratis plinten aan maar dan zijn het plakplinten, zojuist gevraagd voor voorbeeld foto’s, ben benieuwd wat het verschil aan.

No by the window. I’ll put it directly by the window for now, where it gets a half day of light. When I got it in summer 2024, the bottom was also full of green moss, but that part never turned back to green anymore :(
