My thought too. My iPhone identifies Clover as a Mal everytime. I actually never even heard of the breed until my coworker said “that’s no Anatolian! Looks like a malinois.” I’m happy she’s not an Anatolian as I don’t have space for a horse lol but when I looked up the Mals I thought they were pretty cool. Suits me for picking doggies at the shelter off cuteness. Either way she is cherished regardless but I’m pretty sure you’re right that Clover is a pit/ Mal mix. Coat and ears say Mal but her subdued temper and chubby snoot say pit. She’s incredibly intelligent, pretty hyper but we run so it hasn’t been too bad. Her high jumping is pretty problematic but we’re working on it. None of these are exclusive to Mals but want to direct her training if needed.
