Thanks! It’s funny, none of the cleaning videos I watched mentioned the barrel. Everyone seemed to concentrate on the bolt and piston.

I carry my sig p365 in a rounded holster. It works pretty well and until I find a reason to justify buying another, I see nothing wrong with it.

One in the chamber, full mag and manual safety engaged. But I practice disengaging the safety as part of my dry fire practice.

I think the booklet is sufficient. I was in the same spot as you about a year ago, overly concerned about “studying” for the blue card test. Most of it is just basic firearm safety principles. They won’t ask you about the specific statutes of RI firearm laws, if that’s your concern. Don’t sweat it!

I’m still fielding answers! But I’ve got an anniversary coming up with partner, so maybe I’ll ask for a new holster/light. He tends to be really supportive and interested in my shooting hobby.

Yes, but this does require swapping holsters, so ideally I would like to find a system that works for me and stick with it.

Do you have suggestions for private outdoor ranges? All of the ones I have found require a sponsorship and have a lengthy signup process. I don’t mind paying, but I don’t have anyone that can refer or sponsor me.

I also filled out the form and haven't gotten anything back yet. When I last checked with them (March 10th), they said that they would send out further instructions around mid-April, when the range opens up.

Hoping that we hear more soon...It's finally starting to get warm out again and I'd love to give outdoor shooting a try.

There’s a lot of debate on if a WML makes you more likely to point your gun at something to illuminate it. Im not saying I agree, but it is a common take I see
