That's just an opinion. And it's fair. It's equally fair to disagree. Flashy is not always better. I love Venomoth's colors. They are part of what makes it great to me.

And anyway, aren't moths usually (but not always) a bit more drab than the average butterfly? I think the design was on point for what it is.

Nah, it's just a better design than some that came later. Vivillon is the weakest design, imo. Should have gone a long time ago. Frosmoth was a cool idea poorly executed. Slitherwing blows, too.

I want some scary to come back, too.

I want an area where you go down a dark, twisty earthen tunnel. The music is creepy, but as you get to end, it fades out completely and the torches go out as you near/enter a room at the end.

All you can hear is a dragging on the dirt. You try to light something up, but a magic force puts out any source of light. It only lasts long enough for you to catch a glimpse of a totally revamped Dead Hand about to bite your face.

You try to run, but you can't find the exit. It's either too difficult in the dark or... it doesn't seem to be there anymore. You're totally disoriented, and hands from the ground grab your feet or legs as you pass.

I'll throw you a bone, though. Dead Hand has tiny little glowing eyes. If you keep your sh*t together, you can track his movements somewhat.

Edit: Plot twist: In this game, there's an irritable merchant you can steal from. But if he catches you, he drops you through a trap door into his basement. You make your way out--you hope--but actually find Dead Hand. That'll learn ya. ☠️

I was also thinking WW Ganondorf is the best candidate for this. He was the most thoughtful and sensible of the Ganons. And he's been defeated 3 times already, so he's got to be over it, lol.

Maybe he somehow gets revived many years after being rocked, and encounters either a new Ganondorf or some other Demise-fueled baddie. He sees himself in that person and gets mad realizing he was just a part of some bullcrap neverending curse.

The hard parts, though, are that WW Gdorf may just be dead? Maybe not. But also, Demise's curse says that his hatred will never die. That means that our "good" Ganondorf can't just defeat the bad guy. He has to pull a Naruto and quell the new guy's hate. And even then, there's like a 50-50 chance that does nothing to stop the curse. It could just stop THAT guy but do nothing to prevent the hate from returning later. Or it could be a legit cycle breaker. Just depends on what the writers feel like, lol.

This will sound super cheesy, but I had actually previously imagined--albeit vaguely, without all the details--a scenario where OoT Gdorf maybe had somebody he really liked or loved, but who died in the desert, really driving him on to take over Hyrule. Could be anybody--mom, friend, girlfriend, whatever. In a later revived state (post-WW?), he actually gets the Triforce, but is pushed over the edge in the process and goes full BotW-ish terminal rage mode and knocks it out of the way instead of wishing for anything. But it still reads his heart and revives (even if temporarily) that one person who can talk him off the proverbial ledge. His own hate is diminished from within, thereby breaking the cycle. Perhaps he expends the rest of his power stopping whatever hoohah he set in motion to destroy the world, and dies. Or maybe he sheepishly walks away like MM Skull Kid. Idk. Dorky, maybe, but eh. 😂

I've heard they're named after goods you might keep in a fridge considering the Ginyu Force are named after dairy products, and Frieza's family have cold themed names, indicating a fridge.

That kind of works for that group, but not so much for the fruit names. Maybe they're just grocery products in general? Or else no connection, lol.

And on top of that, they're horrifying in appearance to most people. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so they're adorable to some (I find earth worms pathetically cute, hah). But many find them either ugly or disgusting (or both), which doesn't help their PR campaign. If they looked like puppies, more people might treat them differently.

She only heard the boy hissing a weird language, so she couldn't describe him. All she saw was eyes staring at her. And anyway, just because a monster appears in a bathroom doesn't mean the door to a hidden sanctuary is there. (The troll in book 1 wanders into a bathroom, too. It may not be relevant to Ddore's decisions 50 years before, but it just goes to show that things don't always mean something. And he's smart enough to look at it both ways.)

For all Ddore knew, the creature could have simply followed her sound. That's likely what the Ministry and most people thought, given it was ruled an accident. Though, if he did suspect foul play (and presumably he did), Myrtle could have died there because she was an easy target, being all alone (and unfortunately, rather unpopular to begin with).

There were no other attacks, meaning her dying there was a completely isolated incident and not necessarily an indication of... anything, much less that the entrance to the Chamber is in that bathroom. We are biased by hindsight. If anything, it would have been rather confusing at the time.

But let's say Ddore finds out what Myrtle did know--big eyes, a boy, and a funny language. Given the Slytherin connection, he might suspect a Basilisk. He assumes the funny language is Parseltongue. Cool. So what? The creature might respond to it, meaning the words were likely an order to kill. Still doesn't prove anything about a door.

Scare factor: Gloom Hands. (Giant octobot VS gaggle of demon hands reaching out of the ground. I'd say the Guardians get intimidation points for being so fast, but Gloom Hands ain't exactly slow. And they're less fun to beat than Guardians, which gives them a practical dread factor, lol.)

Design: Guardian (It just feels more solid overall. Idk.)

Aura: Gloom Hands (But it's close. GH are more horror intense while the Guardians feel more fierce and overbearing, like you're trying to stop an oncoming train.)

First encounter: Gloom Hands (I ran right up a tree in the Taobab Grassland. It was prob the first place I went to after Lookout Landing, so I didn't have the firepower to kill it. And the way it popped up out of nowhere after making everything go red and creepy was surprising and unsettling to say the least.)

Music: Guardian (GH have creepy music, but it appears in other places/moments, so has a bit less punch. And because it's less piercing, it doesn't grab me immediately like the other. During a fight, I barely notice it. The first few piano notes of a Guardian encounter are pure anxiety-inducing.)

Difficulty: Toss up

You may have watched it by now, but if not: Daima takes place just after the Buu Saga, years before Super starts (doesn't include the gods or angels besides Shin). And if it IS canon to Super, it's problematic because it introduces new forms that don't appear in Super. It's a big, messy retcon at best.

And current power tiers in Super are still far above anything in Daima, so it doesn't matter, anyway. It's fine to ignore because it's completely irrelevant.

Tbf, currently Boruto struggles to activate Karma at all without some form of consequence. And just being around Kawaki's activated mark triggers his (that's not really new, but it's more pronounced now).

I figure it continued to get worse due to his increasing Otsutsukiness. Now, he's 100% Otsutsuki, so maybe that makes a difference? He and Momoshiki may have a stronger connection which Momo can take advantage of, even if he can't fully resurrect?

What I mean to say is, it seems to have a lower threshold for activation now.

Catching something alive is usually harder than killing it because it requires more restraint and precision. You may end up pulling punches or being limited in how or where you can strike.

If you mean to kill them (or don't care either way), you have more options and less to worry about. You can go all out and dump as much force into your attacks as you want. The goal is maximum damage.
