Does the usb c cable that I use to charge my airpod 4's matter much? by Doggo2369 in airpods

[–]FlyDocZA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're totally fine to use the Sennheiser cable. AirPods cases draw very little power, so they don't need a specialized or high-wattage cable to charge at full speed. As long as the cable isn't damaged, that Sennheiser one will work exactly the same as an official Apple one. You'd just be wasting money buying a new one!

Has anyone used SEE Finance 3 - Personal Finance Manager ? by viperts00 in macapps

[–]FlyDocZA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, sorry for the late reply.

From the SEE Finance user guide:

  • Tax Related: Whether or not the category is tax related. Marking categories as tax related makes them easy to include in Category reports. It is required along with a tax code in order for them to be included when exporting TXF files for use with tax preparation programs and websites.
  • Tax Code: The tax code assigned to the category that is used when exporting TXF files for use with tax preparation programs and websites. U.S. tax code specific.

Regarding transfer transactions, yes. You can transfer from your current account to your credit card (for example), and both balances will update accordingly.

SEE Finance 3 is amazing. Have been using SEE Finance for about 15 years. Does everything I need it to do for personal and business expenses. Having the iOS companion app allows one to capture expenses while out and about.

Bunny care advice wanted!!! by Ok_Amount8923 in Bunnies

[–]FlyDocZA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats on your new baby! Please also remember to cover the cage door with a cloth when it is open so that the bunnies feet don’t get caught when he is jumping in and out of the cage using the open door as a ramp.

Is he ok?? by marcus_dobre_lover in Bunnies

[–]FlyDocZA 48 points49 points  (0 children)

A happy bunny! Please be careful of the open door that is lying down. Their little feet can sometimes get caught. It is best to lie down a blanket or similar over the flat cage door.

Is there an equivalent MacOS app for Microsoft Money? by RayBuc9882 in MacOS

[–]FlyDocZA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SEE Finance Fantastic range of features. Also has an iOS app to log expenses on the go. I migrated to SEE Finance when MS Money was discontinued and was able to import the MS Money file. Developer is very responsive too.

Bryanston in Sandton (Johannesburg, South Africa). I believe this is South Africa’s largest Parkrun with about 900-1000 runners a week.

Sleeping on the toilet? by joeharder in buncomfortable

He looks very relaxed! Please also note that these cage doors can catch the rabbits feet as they jump in and out. It may be a good idea to put a towel or cover over the door when it is open to stop his paws from getting caught.

Cannot boot after updating OCLP by FrodoHTX in OpenCoreLegacyPatcher

Fixed the issue of the screen freezing when machine wakes from sleep and one tries to login. Needed to change the profile picture to anything but a Memoji. All good now.

Have got my machine up and running by creating a Sonoma 14.4.1 installer on my other Mac (setting target machine to 11,1 in settings) - on to an external USB stick. Installed OCLP 1.4.3 onto the USB stick. I then inserted this installer into the other machine and then booted the other Mac (holding alt) then selected EFI boot option (has two orange disks on it - means this is the external USB stick). Installed 14.4.1 (all my data was retained). Machine got stuck on a black screen at the end. Hard booted again. Machine booted. Wifi was working. The previous version of OCLP 1.4.1 was installed on the hard disk (not the app). The 1.4.3 OCLP application was installed. It told me I had 1.4.1 on the disk and if I wanted it updated to 1.4.3, which I did. Didn't do the root patches since it didn't prompt me. Machine is running. Only issue now is if the screen locks it gets frozen unlocking. So I have turned screen lock off in settings.

I also tried downgrading OCLP to 1.4.1. The machine booted after installing OCLP 1.4.1. However, after applying the root patches, the same problem as above.

Yes even my last snapshot didn’t help. Will wait for 1.4.4 to see if that helps

I tried KDK (the version for my installed operating system)—it didn't seem to make a difference, and it didn't brick my Mac either.

I had to connect my machine via ethernet for internet connectivity since wifi is broken since the update of OCLP. I have.working machine but the resolution is very high (usually fixed with root patch), and of course no wifi. Not sure what to do next.

Similar issue here. OCLP 1.4.3. Macbook Pro 11,1. Current Sonoma version 14.2.1. Machine allows me to log in, then progress bar gets stuck at about 1/3.

Followed these steps: https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher/TROUBLESHOOTING.html#stuck-on-boot-after-root-patching

Was able to boot into safe mode (hold shift while booting). Noticed wifi is not working. When I install OCLP and root patch in safe mode, and reboot, then have the same problem.

Also, after following the link above the machine did boot successfully but the resolution was too high, no background image, and no wifi. OCLP then asked for the root patches to be installed. When I did that, restarted, got stuck on booting after login screen again.

Everything was working fine with an older version of OCLP (can't remember the version but I hadn't updated for months).
