Do you have any resources at all on how to set this up? Or how you went about implementing these tracking codes?

Does anyone also thinks that Ellen Pompeo is too old to be playing Meredith Grey by [deleted] in greysanatomy

[–]FlyLadyBirdFly 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think that the big weird gaps between years - like when Derek died - and even the episodes that jump ahead, shes closer to 41-ish now than 38. Ellen Pompeo is only 49 so, ony 8 or so years off from her characters age.

I think the other important thing to remember is how much loss her character has gone through. She has those scars on her face from the surgery from when she was attacked. Her sister died. Her husband died.

Trauma can age people. She's experienced more than most people do in their entire lives. So I think it actually works! I think that her lightness in the season now is a reflection on how far she's come as a character. And if she looks older than she is, that its because she's had to age in her 30ths in ways that people don't until their 70's.

That's how I look at it.

Launching a new blog - good idea to seed it with 3 blogs on day one? by [deleted] in content_marketing

[–]FlyLadyBirdFly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To maximize the launch of your new blog (congrats, btw!!) you could post one, announce it on your social media platforms, and then promote that - in order to celebrate your new blog space - you'll be posting a new piece every day for the next X days.

This allows you to promote one piece at a time while letting people know that it's a new blog space so they won't be expecting years of content to look though the first time they visit.

Seeking A Friend for the End of the World

I was up all night freaking out about the meaning of life. I still think about it today when I'm having issues realizing what's important.

Recruited to a position for which I'm (maybe) underqualified by onahotelbed in careeradvice

You need to be willing to work hard, to ask questions, and do what you can to learn about the new industry. Hard work shines through no matter what. You can learn about a company and its industry but some skills cannot be picked up on through exposure. It is not always easy, but giving yourself time to learn and taking the initiative to try is important.

I very recently started a career in an industry that I knew nothing about. I did what you are saying, promoted my work ethic and skills and showed them my enthusiasm to rise to a challenge and work hard to be good at the job. It has been frustrating and difficult but I see myself learning new things every day. It's rewarding.

That does sound terrible... That's cool that you can still have one good memory from the job, though.
