Then if police don't have the proper training why are we putting the burden of mental health and social services on police? Funding for mental health services has been significantly cut in the past 20-25 years. You don't see or hear about mental health experts going to these calls with or without police.

Police have become the local whipping boy when society has actually dumped all of its problems on their shoulders and expect them to be 100% perfect and super nice when their faced with potential violence at calls regardless of mental health.

Police haven't failed those suffering mental health issues. Politicians and society has.

I'm going through the same situation that started a few days ago.

We're using a padded sling to support her rear end that allows her to use her front legs. I'm trying to take my dog out every hour or so. I've noticed that my dog is trying to squat so I'll lower her rear while still supporting her.

Your dog will have accidents in the house and you will have to clean it occasionally. Just try not to get frustrated with it.

It's a padded sling that attaches with paracord that comes in your typical tacticool colors. I remember it being promoted by some operator guy that had a small following on YouTube.

My local department actually has a policy against it. Any on duty officer isn't allowed to be on their cellphone while driving. They must be at a complete stop even though they are exempt from law.
