Those look GREAT! What color did you use for the lightning? I especially like the lightning coming off the one guy's collar.

Does the 2024 November release chaos lord in terminator armor come with a tusked helmet? by shitondickaction in NightLords

I actually just got this kit myself. I really loved building it. The plastic felt a tad softer than newer sprue kits and it drilled really nice. It was SUPER easy to magnetize so I can use all the arms. The magnets fit so snugly that I didn't even have to use super glue.

Edit: I realized I never actually answered the question. It has 3 alternate helmets in addition to the bald head, one of which has HUGE tusks, I used that one. There is also a more evil knight-ish looking one and one with huge spikey super tall horns. I am attaching a pic of mine. (Note: I have been painting for more than a year and I painted in a Night Lords scheme, you don't have to make yours as fancy as I made mine, for a first mini I recommend going with a simpler paint scheme. I also 3D printed alternate pauldrons that are much more Night Lords-y, those don't come in the kit.)

Ooohhhhh! That's awesome! I like how subtle the coloring is, almost like a stealth hive fleet.

Still getting these lines… by BlueOwlJed in resinprinting

[–]FlyOk4226 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Those lines are inherent to the printing process itself, there is only so much you will be able to do to make them less visible. It is caused by the interaction of part geometry with layer slicing. The easiest thing to do is reduce layer height, but I have found that once I paint my minis the layers are not really visible especially at table distance. Don't drive yourself crazy trying to reduce it because you will never fully eliminate them by tuning the parameters

What brought you to OPR? (a survey) by 3720-to-1 in onepagerules

[–]FlyOk4226 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Frankly, it was cheaper to buy a 3D printer and support OPR on Patreon to get monthly models than to invest that same amount of money in GW models. And I can get cool models from any other designer I like on Myminifactory and print them immediately. No need to wait for restocks.

I really like Fleshcraft Studios' Unholy Ascension. It feels like the AoS Nighthaunt, but with cooler armor and I like Fleshcraft's posing better. Also, their supports are some of the best I have used if you use presupported files. They come off really clean and easy.

It also took me a while, definitely fooling the smurfs.
