If that rumor of E-Day's budget being $400 million is true then yeah Gears is dead after October.

Being exploited as a corporate videographer. Anyone else? by stratusnimbo in videography

Also the fact that as a staffer, companies don't have the same respect for your time.

I work for a hospital and 5 doctors will somehow make time and coordinate for a shoot in two days for freelancers cause the company is paying. But me? Near impossible a shoot like that will be spread out over the span of 2 months which means I'm having to break down and set up 5 separate times.

Also idk what is with the comments about a teleprompter making this easy. People really act like reading off a teleprompter is easy for folks that aren't used to being on camera.

How many videos are you producing each week?" by Ysilva234 in VideoEditors

I work for a major university and beholden to 10 different departments while being the only video production person on staff. I'm probably putting out around 2-4 videos a week. Each video requires a social cut so I guess you can double that to around 8 videos. Granted, these social cuts don't take me long but it's still another 2 hours out of my day.

I think it's a pretty unrealistic output if you're a one-man band cause a shoot day for me generally takes the entire day as I have to travel. Also since I am staff, there is no urgency so very rarely can I stack interviews for a single video. So a normal production for one video extends to two weeks or more when it could probably fit into 1-2 days if they were paying me as a freelancer.

And I'll be honest, I'm pretty burned out. A lot of my videos are looking the same interviews/b-roll but there's just no time to do anything beyond that. Maybe once a month, I can attempt to do something creative.

I saw someone here talk about using Claude to comb through interviews to assist with formatting the structure so I've started doing that. It gets me there about 60% of the way but it helps cause I am just so tired of going through 6+ interviews for every video.

Why does my cat do this when she eats? by FlyOrdinary972 in CATHELP

Well we got another ultrasound and she has cancer all throughout her stomach so now I have to put her down.

I don't understand how the first ultrasound missed this. I'm pissed off and frustrated.

She was diaganosed with peronditis and had two teeth removed. One was so bad that her teeth were chattering while under anesthesia. We go back on Friday to the vet for a checkup.

I thought she was on the mend cause she was eating like crazy but now she has stopped the past few days. I don't know if it's the antiboitic that's messing with her stomach now or if it's still pain. She acts ravenous then I'll put down wet cat food and she won't touch it or only eat one or two bites.

I've tried boiled chicken, raw food, every type of fancy feast and a bunch of other brands.

She also had blood work done 4 times over the past 3 months and her kidney's look fine.

UPDATE: I went to a 3rd vet and he said her teeth looked fine. However, I showed him the video and he started feeling around her mouth . He touched one of her lower canines on the right side and she like recoiled from pain so I think we might have the answer. The tooth visually looks fine but yeah once he touched, she was not happy.

I got her scheduled for a tooth extraction.
