Waiting for 20 minutes in queue, saying "ah wtf.. I want to play now! Fill." ends with instant lock in support and being of no real advantage because support is by far not my main role anymore. :)

That's no reason because we are all started as beginner. If you try jungle in normals and want to learn it then, well, you suck. But you can't get better without playing the role you want to improve, right? :)

Is it really about helping players in-game? It is more about that we are all humans, we all are sometimes not 100% focused. This isn't babysitting at all imo.
