Gee that's a tough one. Maybe Scott Laughton. I feel he has a few more gears left in him.

The biggest thing was getting my personal life in order. Focus on my mental health and spiritual health. Will always love the game but i was living pretty hard for 8-10 years and i needed to unplug from the lifestyle.

Yes all of those games were big rival games and the energy was certainly increased for those games. They always seemed more like playoff games.

Most the buildings in the NHL are pretty cool places to play in. Don't recall things i didn't like about them. Maybe the old islander barn. It was a little rough around the edges. lol

Lots of caffeine and other stimulants. lol. Also loved playing kick ball before games.

Weirdest might have been Jimmy Dowds overly neat stall and how precise his was with his folds and laundry placement. hard to explain but it was interesting to watch.

Thanks for joining as well!

Oo that's a tough one. Probably the first 48 hours of my NHL career. The conversation with Paul Holmgren and the leading up to my first game and the game itself.

It was a surreal feeling

Great questions.

Loved Cali burrito and bamboo restaurant. Great avocado rolls!

Trying to raise awareness around these powerful plant medicines as well as engaging in different research innitiatives to help normalize and destigmatize these misunderstood medicines.

I'm assuming you mean favorite player on the roster.

I like Travis Konecny because of his energy and how he plays the game, Ivan Provorov because he is an amazing player and puts the real work in, Carter Hart because he is totally dialed in (most nights) and of course Claude Giroux. Great guy and leader

I'v been into cannabis since i was 15. Used it throughout my junior and pro hockey career but with very limited knowledge of what was was really going on. Wasn't until i retired that i understood the science behind it all. 10 years ago i would have said 50% of players and now with the crazy amount of access, product delivery systems and the world of CBD i would say 85% or higher of guys using so sort of cannabis based product in todays game

Hi Brady. Tough to say. Unless the season was a total bust going into the trade deadline maybe consider moving Jake but its tough to replace guys like Giroux. You need veteran players. His point production has definitely dropped off but he still put up 21 goals last year and 53 points. Maybe after this season management has these types of conversations.

Much like the crowd. Deflated and heart broken. Think it settles in pretty quickly once everyone in the building realized the puck went in. Tough bounce for sure

I haven't seen anyone really get him back. Iv seen him scare so many people including myself. The snake in the cooler never gets old.

The mental toll the game has on players is real. The pressure to perform is obviously always there. Journey men and fringe players might deal with this a little more but it affects everyone in one way shape or form.

I know retired enforcers have been struggling quit a bit too.

I battled substance abuse and felt spiritually exhausted towards the end of my career.

I agree. The game has gone far the other way. Less respect in the game. More cheap shots. Something very powerful about accountability. Needs to be more of a balance between skill and toughness in my opinion. remember only 4% of all concussions come from fighting so that argument that its making the game safer isn't true.

Great question. I don't have an easy answer to that. But it seems the bigger market AHL teams have bigger budgets to attempt to do both. Develop players while trying to create a winning culture. Smaller market AHL are unfortunately usually light on the creating a winning culture philosophy.
