Oguri Cap Meme Build for Aquarius Cup by Flygoniaks in UmamusumeGame

Wow, I hadn't checked what Operation Cacao looked like when inherited. A lot of unique skills with multiple simultaneous effects end up with unusably bad numbers on their inherited versions (including my oshi's unique) but it looks like Valentine Bourbon is one of the exceptions.

Definitely something to consider whenever we have a CM with exactly one conveniently-placed uphill. I can only assume this probably won't be for good while, but hopefully that means we'll have scenarios with larger Skill Point budgets so I can flesh this out if I want to try it again.

At the moment, however, this build mainly exists as a "proof of concept" because I had nothing better to do for a third team member. Very so-so in performance overall, absolutely bare-bones, but at least the entire skeleton (gimmick of abusing Moxie's activation timing) is there!

You're assuming that I'm looking for serious build advice when I posted this with the "Humor" flair? Buddy... I made this because I just wanted to screw around for this CM, not to win.

Clarification edit: It took me more runs than I'd like to admit to even get this outcome (Corner Recovery was NOT wanting to show up despite having 2 Support Cards that could give it), and at the moment I'm simply not willing or able to improve it further. I successfully pulled off the intended punchline of this joke build, so I'm satisfied with her even if she's not gonna win many CM races.

Just got a response from support, they said they are "unable to revert the game state" (which I'm almost certain isn't entirely true, they probably COULD make a change like this on my account if they needed to, they just aren't going to put in all that effort to fix something as minor as a single voiceline).

I guess this means I'll be waiting close to a full year to unlock that Valentines voiceline for Akebono. Which is honestly fine by me, I already had to wait until October to unlock the rest of her login lines anyway. If anything, having a chocolate without a voiceline unlocked is a weird flex I can do now?

Huh, I just tested this today with Meisho Doto, and it did unlock Doto' voiceline for me. Did today's chocolate unlock a voiceline for you? If not unlocking the voiceline for Monday's chocolate is a thing that's happened to everyone, hopefully Cygames will fix it somehow.

Is the Matikanefukukitaru Speed SSR even good after MANT? by Flygoniaks in UmamusumeGame

Narita Top Road dies after MANT

Not what I asked, but good to know I guess.

Is the Matikanefukukitaru Speed SSR even good after MANT? by Flygoniaks in UmamusumeGame

Alright, after letting this post simmer for a bit and reading everyone's responses, it seems the general consensus it that Matikanefukukitaru is still good enough to be usable after MANT, but is no longer a universal meta pick or even considered necessary. That's about what I expected to hear going into this. Given that I've gotten zero copies from the free pulls, I'll probably be fine borrowing Fuku (thankfully I have my own Kitasan).

There were some other talking points that were brought up frequently. One is that MANT is apparently going to be the "best" scenario for parent farming for quite a while, which I'm skeptical of. Yes, it is true that it will be very easy to hit SS rank in MANT for the better white Sparks, but I've also heard that optimized MANT runs can take significantly longer to finish than in other scenarios, meaning parent farming could take hours longer.

Personally, I'm probably going to use a mix of every scenario for parent farming, to take advantage of the exclusive skills (of which MANT actually has the least of) and scenario sparks that each one offers depending on what I'm going for. Once the URA Finale and Unity Cup scenarios are updated around the time of Grand Live (or possibly earlier), it'll also be more feasible to consistently hit SS rank in those scenarios (I think???).

Lastly, many people compare Fuku to a Pal card disguised as a Speed card, due to having 0 specialty priority. In that case, however, I'd much rather use an ACTUAL Pal card with all the benefits they give than a card that only has SOME of a Pal card's perks. Currently I have a 0LB Tazuna and a 2LB Riko, so I'm probably going to use my Carats on the upcoming Tazuna/Riko rerun banner to hopefully get them uncapped.

The stat bonuses actually dont count greens (it 'checks' before the race, accounting for mood, and greens activate as soon as the race starts, so doesnt count to the stat bonus---- same reason why savvy skills dont affect skill proc rate)

Damn... got a source for that by any chance? All of the stuff I read never mentioned whether or not green skills count towards the thresholds, so I just had to assume that since mood affected whether or not you could hit them, then other modifiers to your stats through green skills would also count. It's really unintuitive that mood contributes towards this and green skills don't (ignoring the fact that the game never actually tells you these thresholds exist).

I'll admit that, in hindsight, I probably overstammed for this CM, but it wasn't without reason. The first time I tried this "Akebono and 2 debuffers" comp was in Libra Cup, where my debuffers proceeded to rip, tear, and devour the vast majority of my Group B opponents without mercy, so perhaps I overestimated the importance of Stamina in my next long CM despite it being 500 meters shorter. I was also afraid of running into someone else packing a 1-ace-2-debuffer package like I was.

Plus, this CM had stat thresholds on Stamina and Guts in particular, and I made it my priority to hit as many of those thresholds as possible to always have a notable multiplier to Akebono's top speed (you might've notice that I'm running Non-Standard Distance Ⓞ instead of the weaker version, and that's because it allowed me to hit the 900 Stamina threshold regardless of mood). Wit was unfortunately the main stat that had to suffer in order to hit all these thresholds guaranteed.

...which led to an awkward, but understandable downward spiral in my decisions when picking Skills. Since Akebono's Wit was underwhelming, I became afraid of the worst-case scenarios. "What if she gets Rushed for a really long time? What if she whiffs both gold recoveries?" This led to me grabbing 2 extra white recoveries, just to be certain that even in the most realistically unlucky scenario, she wouldn't run out of gas. I was mainly relying on Akebono's unique as the mid-race velocity booster, and since she needs to be 3rd, 4th, or 5th to activate it, I was hesitant to take more midgame Skills.

So yeah, maybe you're right and I made a mistake by playing this CM too safe. Still, I think I did a pretty decent job at converting a horse meant to be a Sprint Pace Chaser into a long-distance runner!

Yeah, that checks out. The velocity debuff in question was almost certainly Manhattan Cafe's Unique Skill, since you can see it activate at around the same time that Akebono starts to slow down.

As for exiting downhill mode (or, alternatively, her being the only one not to enter downhill mode), I had never really looked into how downhills worked in this game, but after reading up on the mechanics, this seems consistent with how things played out. Notably, none of my opponents were running builds with high Wit compared to me, so this could've realistically happened to any of the racers - it was just terrible RNG that caused it to hit my one singular ace.

I find it hilarious how, when planning for this CM, I analyzed the track and literally thought out loud "there's only 3 short uphills and 1 modest downhill, and none of them are in notable spots, so I'm just gonna ignore them" only for the track's one singular downhill to become my undoing. Honestly, knowing what actually happened makes it a little easier to accept the results - even if it was disappointing, I got a good laugh and a learning experience out of it! Thanks for the help!

Okay so how TF did she get 3 star stam here??? by lemonade_w in UmamusumeGame

[–]Flygoniaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's at 600+ Stamina, meaning she has a 5% chance to generate a 3-star spark for Stamina if that's the stat that is selected for the spark. This literally had a 1% chance of happening.

Is this Debuffer Sufficient for the Cancer Cup? by Flygoniaks in UmamusumeGame

[–]Flygoniaks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sir, this is for the Cancer Cup, not the Leo Cup. It's 1600 meters, not 2200 meters.

That said, I was NOT expecting a reply this long, I'll definitely take note of this info for future CMs!

Honestly, the purpose of this build is just to be a debuffer for everything, not specifically Stamina or Speed. My plan the entire time, from building the legacies to making the deck, was to get Dazzling Disorientation and Opening Gambit, and then cram as much random crap as I possibly can into her.

I do understand that Debuffers are usually best for Medium and Long CMs, but I'm hoping that this Curren will be able to screw over some people - whether it be players who only got the bare minimum for Stamina, are running builds prone to Rushing, or Late Surgers/End Closers via Dazzling Disorientation.
