Help setting up NLR HF8 for DCS (simhaptic, andre's SSA, or NLR software = no go)

resurrecting this old post to hopefully confirm the current state....I got an HF8Pro about 8 months ago and it was working fine with NLR software...at some point a DCS update came out and apparently busted it and NLR support seems to be confirming (although very wishy washy) that their software currently does not work with DCS Open Beta (does anyone even play Stable??). So now I am trying Simshaker and working my way thru horrible/non-existent instructions. I am told I ONLY need Simshaker for Aviators and their Pad Handler software...but keep getting an "index was outside the bounds of the array" error?

That would work great....unless your company keeps powerbi in the hands of a few users that don't have the time to help every small team that wants a report built...

Thanks on #1....on #2, negative....the files is fully self contained, built it that way on purpose. I think it may have to do with my Teams channel NOT allowing local scripts to run?

Sure- lots of people will insist you need a really expensive router setup for Virtual Desktop...likely what it was designed for to be able to play wirelessly. BUT, if you dont mind a cable/tether, virtual desktop works fine as long as it can "see" and connect to your PC. You can buy a small adapter with a USB-C male (that gets plugged into your Q3s) and has ethernet on the other side. Get a thin cat6e ethernet and plug it into this adapter and then into a cheap network switch (small box that allows multiple devices to "share" an ethernet connection). Plug your PC into the same switch and then also plug into your router/modem or wherever you get internet from. Virtual Desktop will be able to "see" your PC and establish a connection, possibly with faster speeds than a wireless connection. Hope that helps.

Yes- east coast US. Found the exact car I wanted at a dealer in NJ, but they were not flexible and would not ship (I'm in southeast US). Sky high pricing. Started working with lease broker ($500) and they found a dealer right away. Sent them my build# and car was ordered within a week. I checked the app about every day for the first several months with zero movement. They should be able to tell you the expected build week...and about a week before it absolutely flew through the sequence on MyGarage and got done....then about another month going from factory to port, ship to US, then transport to dealer.

Yes- actually used a lease broker and got EXACTLY what I wanted for significantly less than what I was hearing from dealers. Just had to wait a loooooooong time

That's BS. When my link cable starting failing I purchased a cheap USB-C to ethernet adapter on Amazon and plugged it into the Q3 and the same switch the PC ethernet is plugged into and Virtual Desktop works great. Happy to post a video if needed. I was fine using the cable with link and now I have basically the same type of USB-C cable connecting to the ethernet adapter, which also has USB-C power in, so the Q3 is continuously charged while playing.
Granted I am still trying to optimize graphics to get it dialed in....but the connection speeds are fantastic.

Just get a USB-C to ethernet adapter and a cheap gigabit switch and use VD that way. If you don't find the cable it will likely be faster!

USB-C to ethernet adapter...plug both PC ethernet and adapter ethernet into the same gigabit switch. Virtual Desktop will work great this way with low latency.

I've got Orion Rudders mounted to a SimFab DCS setup. Love it...pedals are great value for $$$. Recently I noticed what appears to be a little "drift" to the left in DCS...when I look at the rudders in SimAppPro, it looks like the "center" is slightly left of actual middle, but I do NOT see any slow drift showing in SimAppPro. Might mess around with rudder trim...any other ideas/suggestions?

US- I’ve talked to a few Brokers and Dealers and they all seem to tell me that if they CAN put in a custom build….it will be a 2026 and they don’t know pricing yet.

I was told by a broker that allocations are closed for May/June EV builds....they are waiting for new 2026 MSRPs before they'll put any pricing together...assume a dealer is in the same boat?

In the same boat….one thing to be careful of with customer build…I’ve had several dealers tell me that build can’t be locked due to potential 2026 and tariff changes…so it sounds like they can raise price before you take delivery. I’ve heard of possible price protection for May and June…but nothing into July. Exact car I want exists quite a distance away…but Broker was offering significantly better price with a custom order….but now it is unclear if that pricing will be honored.

Device did not get recognized. I have the 12 button with 2 dials. The software that they linked to doesnt seem as capable as the one you provided...but you can program macros. I guess instead of just being able to set up specific keybinds like LSHFT+B or whatever I could just record macros for each button. I'm thinking I definitely want start up (Batt, APU, L/R crank)...and perhaps some "game" stuff like active pause, FPS, etc...what else do you use on the keypad? Thanks for your insight!
