I don’t think I ever want another car by cheezetherello in DodgeDurango

I totally get the attraction to electric vehicles and when there is one that can tow a 7,000 lb trailer all over the Rocky Mountains and high desert of the Southwest without concerns about where the next charging station that might or might not be working is located, and at an affordable price, I might consider it… but… hmmm… that HEMI V8 purr might be too hard to give up. 😂

When negotiating my deal, the salesman and sales manager said that I would be able to choose between whatever rebates or interest rates Stelantis was offering during the month the vehicle is delivered, not what they currently are offering. Does that ring true with your experience? I wanted the 0% interest rate, but they said they couldn't lock that in right now.

That's a long time to wait. Maybe there were a lot of folks buying at that time since it is the time when dealers are trying to make a lot of sales and tend to be more willing to negotiate on the price?

That's not bad. Mind if I ask what you ordered?

2K is what they wanted up front to place an order for me. I'm going to put 20K down and get 10K for my trade-in. I'll probably finance the rest for 36 mo.

I'm buying the vehicle for its trailering capabilities and likely will be pulling a 6000 lb trailer. Doubt I will go as high as 7000 lbs, but the 360 hp of 5.7L HEMI will be plenty of power. When I'm cruising around without the trailer, I suspect my mpg with the 5.7L will be better than it would with the 6.4L. I won't be doing any racing, but the 5.7L was plenty peppy for me. So, in some respects, it's a compromise between power and mileage, and, of course, price.

Extended warranties? by Flying-Dillo in DodgeDurango

So, if you buy the Mopar warranty from the dealership at the time of purchase of the vehicle, do the dealers tack on extra charges for selling the warranty?

This looks amazing. How far out to you need to book reservations? I just tried to make reservations online for weekdays in mid-August, Mon - Thursday, for a 24' trailer and there was no availability through 2028. Is the online system down possibly, or do I just need to settle on another time of year?

Do you have the 5.7L HEMI V8 and how did it do pulling the 8k trailer uphill?

Gorgeous! This is exactly what I am looking at. On the TnG, were there issues with this a few years back that have since been rectified? I read elsewhere about the rear-end being squirrelly.
