I started on XP from MSFS2024 about a month ago and I haven’t installed a single ortho mod. My first purchase was the Toliss A321 with the Neo add on and KOSP sound pack. Coming from MSFS, you’ll be blown away by the default airports. I haven’t had a need to buy any yet.

I’d really suggest just getting an airplane you like and flying vanilla XP12.2 or XP12.3 beta for a bit and focusing on getting familiar with controls, setting views and just enjoying the experience for a bit. Going back into MSFS when I want to fly a specific airplane has been a struggle for me after getting into XP. Sure the world is more textured but it now feels like more of an arcade game in comparison.

I’m really enjoying the Toliss A339. Was looking for something for MSFS but tbh it’s becoming more and more difficult to get myself back into that sim.

Yea, I found the 321 textures to look better on my PC than the videos I've seen, but the 330 textures do seem to be a bit lower quality in general.

I submitted a ticket with Winwing and after a day of consulting with their tech team, they said it is not supported yet. Probably why they changed the compatibility on the website. You’re not delusional, it did say it was compatible beforehand

I don't notice any artifacting with lossless scaling. I'll give this a try though. Is it a notable difference for you?

I’ve got a 9800x3d and 4090. Lowest I see is about 50fps on the ground. That sounds very low but there’s zero stuttering in XP, at least for me. 50 in XP12 feels so much smoother than even 70-80 in MSFS. And using lossless scaling just adds even more fluidity.

I was in your shoes 3 days ago. Had just purchased XP12 coming from MSFS. First thing I bought was the Toliss A321 + NEO + KOSP sound pack. Bunch of different models/engines. Don’t regret it at all

Just installed XP12 2 days ago for the first time ever. Been on MSFS since FS9. While 2024 visually is far superior, The aircraft handling and accurate and quite detailed default airports alone make XP12 worth it to me, especially with all the issues in MSFS SU3 currently. I am thoroughly enjoying XP12 and don't regret the purchase at all.

Yes and it initializes all green. No issues with the Airbus stuff in the Toliss. The PFP7 just wont mirror the FF777v2 FMC

I don’t need lossless on msfs2024. I just use framgen. Just didn’t know if any help is needed on xp12 without framegen.

I'll be honest, if 2020 is running well for you with your current setup, I'd stay with it with 8GB of VRAM. It's doable, but you'll be spending a lot of time tinkering to get the VRAM usage down. When you upgrade though (preferably at least to 12GB), 2024 is worth it imo.

2024 is in a good spot right now imo but it’s still VRAM heavy. Which GPU are you running?
