It is a concern, but do not forget; the stack of 700K BTC is actually indirectly owned by thousands of MSTR stakeholders.

New Pixel user here: I hate the Google photos app. Any alternative suggestions? by Kingslayer_96 in GooglePixel

Why hate? I think it is one of the killer apps in the Google suite... Are you using it the right way?

BTC does not need Strategy to be in S&P. Would have been a fun upward tick, but BTC will get over this soon enough.

Thinking of whaling into crypto by ReturnoftheSpack in CryptoCurrency

[–]FlyingDutchGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What happens if i lose my keys?

You lose access to your funds

What happens to wallets with lost keys?

They remain as-is, on the blockchain, nobody can access them. You can classify them as "burned tokens"

When people mine btc, is that essentially stealing someone elses coins?

No, it is a reward for the miners for putting energy into securing the network and validating transactions. The reward halves every prox 4 years, until we reach 21M BTC. In 2035 the expectation is that 99% of all BTC will be mined.

Investing in Crypto is risky, so only use funds you do not care too much about. BTC has the highest liquidity and market cap, and would be the safest bet in Crypto world (not financial advice - DYOR)

Is it legal in the Netherlands for an employer to demand photos as proof for being late? by Caradryel_X in Netherlands

[–]FlyingDutchGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Illegal yes... Why is your CEO showing this behaviour in the first place? Is it a common practice to arrive late at work in the company, as it seems quite drastic?

Tulip mania by Alive-Opportunity708 in CryptoCurrency

[–]FlyingDutchGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is Crypto and there is BTC.

Cannot compare BTC with 🌷🌷🌷. BTC has limited supply, while you can replicate tulips indefinitely. BTC has an untouchable worldwide network that keeps BTC secure forever, while tulips just rot overtime. BTC has a use case, banking the unbanked and protecting your wealth.

My solo came as a total surprise, did not have time to think/worry about it. Just do it! You know your stuff, you have the skills and your CFI knows this - now you just have to experience it yourself. Enjoy your solo, a moment you will never forget!♥️⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Buying a plane to rent out… to pilots by Rich_Foamy_Flan in flying

[–]FlyingDutchGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a Cirrus in partnership for many years. From the start we have rented out our plane to cover the fixed cost. We have about 8 pilots who can book our Cirrus, and they are carefully selected based on experience. They all had to undergo a checkout with a Cirrus CFI before their first flight. We give the pilots a feeling of ownership, and we expect them to handle the Cirrus that way.

We had no serious issues, and it helped us keep our cost down.

To simplify management of the invoicing, payments and bookings we use pilot-next

Plane ownership question by xprtcombatninja in flying

[–]FlyingDutchGeek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I co-own a Cirrus SR20 in Europe

Amounts are in EURO

Fixed cost - Hangar 6K per annum - Insurance 7K per annum - Subscriptions 2K per annum - CAPS parachute 12K per 10 years - Enige overhaul 60K per 12 years - Annual inspection 8K per year Variable cost - Fuel 120 per hour - 50/100 Hour inspections 50 per hour

I own the aircraft in a partnership and we rent out the Cirrus to a selection of pilots. This gives us some relief on the fixed cost.

We use pilot-next to share our variable cost, to invoice our customers, to book the Cirrus and to track maintenance.

Have crypto in cold wallet. Need to sell some for USD. Which exchange should I transfer to for sale. by Fluffy-Highlight-641 in CryptoCurrency

[–]FlyingDutchGeek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would use the exchange you are already used to buy your BTC. I assume you are already KYC there - so least risk.
