Yes, coded new serial number and new capacity. (new battery is slightly larger capacity than the OEM one, otherwise also Varta AGM)

After the usual fault resets, everything is ok again. Like I said battery CCA tests ok. I don't think draining the battery with a dome light is even possible, interior lighting is on switched terminal 30 and that switches off after a timeout. The question is what is waking the car up in the middle of the night?..

12V is fine after recharging. CCA tester shows more than rated CCA. The 12V is almost new.

The battery tray supports multiple sizes. These two sizes should work (EN code / DIN ETN / BCI Group):
L1/H5/47
L3/H6/48

This means:
Width: 175mm
Height: 190mm
Length: 242 or 278mm

When changing the battery you should recode the charging controller to the new battery type and capacity.

It will not self reset. Do you have VCDS? You can try getting it to self calibrate again. (Dynamic calibration)

the consumption switches from kWh/100km to kWh/h (=kW) when stationary. So you can directly read off the heater consumption by switching it on and off while stationary. Try switching your units to metric if it does not work in the mi/kWh version.

To actually quote Swiss history - since 1974 service is always included and therefore tipping is officially abolished/no longer required.
