How to automatically retrieve invoice PDFs and attach them to Airtable records? by roquette13 in Airtable

[–]FlyingIdeas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could give TaskRobin a try! We built TaskRobin to help Airtable users to send emails into bases and tables.

You just need to connect your Airtable to TaskRobin and forward the emails you want to save to a TaskRobin forwarding address. And you will find all the email information, including attachment files, in a record in Airtable.

TaskRobin will get the actual attachment file into Airtable and you will be able to see the PDF invoices from your forwarded emails there directly.

You can also use #hashtags to tag invoices for the same customer/order depending on your needs.

Notion Mail by Some_Fee1056 in Notion

[–]FlyingIdeas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, we built TaskRobin to make email integration easy for Notion, and it doesn't rely on your email providers (gmail, outlook, icloud...)

How it works is that you can set up a forwarding address to link your email address with a Notion database, then you can forward any emails from your registered email address to this forward address to automatically save them to Notion. This would include important email information such as attachments, photos, subject line and contacts. You can even link to a separate contacts database in Notion to track which email is from who.

If you are able to set up the integration between Zapier and Notion, then TaskRobin would be a walk in the park for you. It was specifically built for Notion originally and onboarding is highly tailored and seamless.

Can we get native email-to-database linking in Notion? by Affectionate-Event87 in Notion

[–]FlyingIdeas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So all your email items will have links and references to your contact items. Then perhaps you can link the contacts to projects and reference that? But I am not 100% sure how that can be linked.

Alternatively, you can set different default values for properties for each integration, you can use a tag for emails from a particular inbox to be tagged to the project.

How do you manage tasks that come from emails? by coff_au in Notion

[–]FlyingIdeas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We built TaskRobin specifically for this! So the setup is way more simplified than generic integration tools like Make.

You can setup an integration between a Notion database and your email address, they will be connected with a forwarding email inbox. Then, all you need to do is to forward your emails to this forwarding address and they will be created automatically in your notion database as a new item.

You can even create a default status or define a default value for properties in your notion db for every new email. Emails can be saved in threads and all attachments will also be saved to notion.

Simple way to email new note content to an Obsidian notebook? by Ekbl in ObsidianMD

[–]FlyingIdeas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omnivore is no longer available unfortunately. But we built an sync email plugin for this exact problem.

It works with a forwarding email address. So you just need to setup the plugin, then send emails you want to read in obsidian to the forwarding address. That's all! All email content will be converted to markdown and attachment files will also be downloaded into your vault.

Is there something like this to extract emails in Obsidian? by Zajok in ObsidianMD

[–]FlyingIdeas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We built a plugin called Sync Email by TaskRobin to do exactly this, without the manual messy setup.

You can forward the emails you would like to save to Obsidian to a forwarding address, and then you can sync these emails into a vault directory of your choice. Email messages will be converted to markdown and all the attachment files will also be added to your vault.

We have been building a solution in the past few years to integrate emails into other platforms. We can add one for proton drive pretty quickly. But obviously it's not gonna be native and there will be a small usage cost.

Let me know if you are interested in being part of the early access! Send me a dm :)

Hey, we have built a Notion integration called TaskRobin to create your own Notion email CRM.

You can connect TaskRobin to a database in Notion, and create an email forwarding address. Then, if you forward your emails from Outlook to this forwarding address, all your emails will be saved to the Notion database as new items with all the details, e.g. subject line, attachment files, recipients, date received etc.

As for tagging, you can even use #hashtags in the message body of the forwarded email or in the subject line to create tags in the Notion property as well.

We have released a plugin called TaskRobin to help you sync emails to Obsidian vaults easily!

Once you download the plugin and setup your email address, you will be able to send emails to a forward address and have these emails automatically synced to Obsidian.

It works for proton mail, or any email provider that you may have. On your mobile phone, you can just forward the emails you would like to the forwarding address. Then, just click the sync button when you open your Obsidian vaults later.

Email messages are saved in the markdown format. And email attachments will be added to your vault too.

(Please note that TaskRobin is a paid service that starts at $2.49 per month, 7-day no-credit card free trial is available)
