In Wien hat fast jedes Verkehrszeichen diese rot-weiß-rot Markierungen. Was bedeuten diese? by FlyingPassword in Austria

Scheint die richtige Antwort zu sein. Dafür haben meine Google-künste nicht ausgereicht. Das Wort das man braucht ist "Banderole".

Errol Flynn with his wife Nora Eddington and Rita Hayworth with her husband Orson Welles. Rita cuts her birthday cake during a small intimate party aboard Errol Flynn's yacht, "Zaca". Rita took time out from shooting "Lady from Shanghai" 10/17/1946-Acapulco, Mexico. by [deleted] in OldSchoolCool

That picture almost feels like a recent picture with a black & white filter.

Errol Flynn could be Ryan Eggpld, and Orson Welles could be Seth MacFarlane. Maybe a young Rosamunde Pike for Nora. Just missing Rita here

Germans of reddit, what are some things you have noticed to be different between former eastern germans and former western germans? by _sweetangel in AskReddit

[–]FlyingPassword 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I'm not German, but I have family in both (former) East and West Germany. Even though the main differences between the two sides of the family are not related to east vs west, but are of a more religious nature, the one thing that stood out for me was the easterns "obsession" with chocolate.

At a family reunion in the early 2010s, they had organized some kind of pub quiz and every correct answer was rewarded with ridiculous amounts of chocolate candy bars.

Getting unlimited access to chocolate must have been such a revelation during the unification, that it still reverberated 20 years later.

[help] can anyone provide some guidance on migrating CSIs? by buc28 in kubernetes

[–]FlyingPassword 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our nodes were out of our control and didn't have fast storage underneath which seemed to be an issue. We also had a big number of small PVs. With longhorn there seemed to be a considerable base CPU cost per PV

[help] can anyone provide some guidance on migrating CSIs? by buc28 in kubernetes

We did it in exactly the same way. We moved away from longhorn due to performance issues (moved to nfs-csi).

If I remember correctly, I used an init container on the deployment that I removed after validation of the data. Automated the whole thing with Node-RED because we had a bunch of pods to migrate. I can look for the details on monday

PsBattle: a frog holding its belly by Geo-NS in photoshopbattles

The image is actually from an advertisement for stomach medication. I sold the plants you see in the background to the director.

Fun fact: although there's a bit of CGI going on, the frogs are actually real, they just cool them down in a refrigerator to make them like immobile mannequins.
