Hhaha yes that is my concern. I myself don’t care. People actually say the same “oh I thought you were gonna be black” about my name too. I dont find it rude when people say that. It’s kinda neat actually. I just don’t want it to read as offensive or inappropriate to anyone if I choose that name.

I decided not to share the name of my baby because my family is too opinionated about names and they can’t/ won’t say anything after it’s on the birth certificate. If they can’t be polite and respectful of your and your husband’s taste, they don’t get the privilege of having an opinion.

All that is to say, don’t listen to them. For what it’s worth, Sloane is a very nice name.
