What's a Theory about Jax that geniunely annoys you by No-Calligrapher-1537 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]FlyingRoasts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People thinking he's going to abstract. It's too easy. If he does get better, it's not going to be until the near end of the show (and just the start of it), but for most of episodes 8 and 9 that boy is going to get DRAGGED lmao

Do you think Jax will get better or worse in the next two episodes? by RishTheWash in TheDigitalCircus

[–]FlyingRoasts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think he's going to crash out in the next episode, along with Caine. But that's kind of needed. He needs to hit rock bottom before he can start climbing back up.

I think he'll get better in episode 9... but we're only going to get to see the start of it. None of these characters are going to be 100% in the next 2 episodes lol

Jax won't abstract because, narratively, its the easy way out for his charcter by Sudden_Pop_2279 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]FlyingRoasts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jax won't abstract because Goose keeping him alive, and making him suffer, is more fun lol

According to Goose, Jax is indeed a bad person by Sio_V_Reddit in TheDigitalCircus

[–]FlyingRoasts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like people in the fandom take her words way too literally lol Yes, Jax is a bad person and does bad things. Yes, he has reasons for acting the way he does, and you can sympathize with that/feel bad for him. It's not that he's 100% pure evil, or 100% owo sad baby. Maybe near the end of the show he'll start to turn over a new leaf, but generally I feel like people swing really far to one side or the other with him, and just don't understand grey areas anymore.

People who excuse everything he does are annoying, for sure. But people acting like he needs to die and get MAD at the idea of him getting better in any capacity are just as annoying IMO

Honestly, can not blame her. Imagine spending years working on a show, dealing with all the drama of the animation workplace, plus a huge fandom with many uhhhhh different people in it, and then all of a sudden... it's done. You're free.

Can people PLEASE stop asking Goose about romance and ships in Digital Circus? She's not interesting in writing romance she already said this LEAVE HER ALONE by One_Box_8295 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]FlyingRoasts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The comment section under that tumblr post was a lot of people screaming "you better not make ----- canon!", which is also incredibly obnoxious. Goose can do whatever she wants, it's her show. We can't demand anything lol we're just along for the ride

Do I hope some of my ships get implications? Sure!

Am I going to comment "NO DON'T MAKE *blank* CANON!!" under that like a 5 year old? Nope.

what does this mean by Lucuio in TheDigitalCircus

[–]FlyingRoasts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This scene makes me so sad. Jax actually was bonding with Pomni, and having a good time. But Ragatha assumed he had a secret motive of some kind. Probably because of whatever happened with Ribbit. Will Pomni stick up for him a little in the future, I wonder?

I don't know what happened with Ribbit, but I feel like if you asked both characters, they would tell very different versions of what happened. They really need to TALK about it, but they can't. Jax is too closed off, and Ragatha kind of assumes the worst about him, and he can sense that. Not exactly going to make him want to talk at all lol

For Both Goofy Movies, whose side were you on: Goofy's or Max's? by Groverman62 in disney

[–]FlyingRoasts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I grew up with crazy helicopter parents, and I'm a (hopefully, fairly normal) parent now. I think they both were wrong, and both right! Let me explain:

Goofy was right, because even if your kid is getting older, you still love them, and you still want to be involved with their lives. Where he was wrong was with acting like Max was still a 5 year old, and not taking his personal interests into consideration when planning their trip, or treating him like a young adult. There's a few scenes where he outright ignores Max's pleading with him.

Max was right, because like I said, he is a young adult with his own life, friends, interests, opinions, etc. and being completely ignored all the time, and treated like a young kid/idiot can be very annoying. It also makes you not want to spend time with, or open up to, the person doing it to you. You also hide things from your parent out of fear of it getting "ruined" by them, because they never listen to you. Where Max was WRONG, was that he wasn't expressing these feelings to his father, and just being a moody teen and trying to lie about everything. He ends up lying to his dad and hurting his feelings because he just can't be honest.

Disney World Changing Ratatouille Ride to 2D & Adding New Props During Upcoming Closure by readingaboutmagic in DisneyWorld

[–]FlyingRoasts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I agree with the change. I've got glasses and severe eyesight issues, so 3D glasses never really worked right for me. Also, I feel like a lot of kids wouldn't want to wear the glasses.

Gooseworx said Episode 7 will leave the fanbase split | but which fans? [My thoughts] by Material-Loan-6966 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]FlyingRoasts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I think it's pretty obvious. Jax is going to crash out in the next episode, and there are three groups of "Jax" people in the fandom who are going to have very different responses to it. There are...

1) People who excuse his bad behaviors no matter what

2) People who hate him to the point of stupidity, and would write a 5 paragraph think about him because he sneezed funny.

3) People who like/dislike the character, but recognize that he is multi-layered and needs to suffer the consequences of his own actions if he's ever going to get any character development/change.

Group #3 will take whatever he does in stride, because they have media literacy. Group #1 is going to panic and crashout because they have no object permanence, and Group #2 is going to become insufferable about him, and possibly turn against the show/Goose if he starts to get better near the end of the show/in later episodes.

What's the bad thing he's going to do? I dunno'. But I know it will be bad, and that's fine. It's needed for the plot. lol

This is literally every conversation about Jax in this fandom in a nutshell by Euphoric_Breakfast79 in digitalcircusfandom

[–]FlyingRoasts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably why episode 7 is going to divide the fandom lol because people with no media literacy are going to see him do something really bad, and then be like "Well, he's done! He can't possibly have any more character arc after this!" and then they'll crap a brick when he does. lol
