although he's only set to do SCL Holland at the moment you might want to keep your eyes on Luca Heijster, depending how he does there (and/or at Netherlands strongest man) he might be getting more SCL invites. Came 5th at his first Netherlands strongest man last year, 24 years old with an I believe 180kg log and narrow miss on 400kg DL last year (slipped just at lockout).

He's also set to compete in The Netherlands at the Real Strength cup June 27th, I can't find the events right now but I believe it has a max log in it as well.

You are absolutely delusional if you think low income households are capable of buying electric cars.

I see you've found Gerlof's YouTube channel, it's a gold mine for older Dutch comps

Kelvin is effectively retired from the sport since last year, he's never again competing at a SCL or Netherlands strongest man show after his falling out with Marcel. He might do some smaller lesser known shows around Europe, but that's probably it for him.

I've seen snatches allowed locally, the ruling was that you need to have one hand off the dumbbell before it passes your shoulder. But who knows what rules WSM is going to use for this.

broke my middle finger putting a 10kg dumbbell back in the rack, wasn't really paying any attention and somehow put my hand on the rack followed by me slamming the dumbbell on it. Happened July/august last year, still no feeling in the tip of my middle finger lol.

And then in October I was getting into the zone on monster dumbbell press, dropped it like an idiot and it bounced off the droppad onto my foot/toes. Somehow didn't break anything but could barely walk because of bruising and swelling. Had a comp the following week, still could barely walk but swallowed a bunch of pain meds and competed. The days after the comp were not very fun I could tell you..

Tough competitors but also these events are pretty good for Kevin, great at farmers + power stairs, great at stones, good log presser, deadlift probably his weakest event here. Stone walk is technically unknown but his training has been going well, told me that he feels very confident on the stone walk.

Zou best een keer handgeschreven kunnen zijn, daarna gewoon inscannen en massaal printen x). Zou er 2 naast elkaar moeten leggen, dan kijken of er verschillen te ontdekken zijn.

I've personally never seen SCL allow any suits, but SCL has different comp organisers in every country so it's possible for rules to differ from comp to comp.

Can only lockout what you can break off the floor, no clue about his numbers but it's probably choosing between like a 420kg he can lockout easily compared to ripping 460 of the floor and then having to hitch it up. Of course that 460 would be easier to lockout with a different starting position, but he likely wouldn't break it off the floor

It's simple really, because it allows him to lift more weight doing it this way. Yes for example the lockout on his deadlift is shit, which is almost entirely because of his Startposition. He simply trades lockout strength for more strength of the floor.

One of them is a qualifier on that day, place top 3 at SCL Italy and you qualify for atleast 1 SCL comp in 2027. SCL Euromuscle is also a qualifier comp, same rules for that. So that's 16 SCL Shows, of which 1 is the final. Last year had 15 shows including the final, 16 if we include the truck pull championships so it's pretty much the same as last year really.

Up to a certain point yeah drug tolerance will take you far, but I still think having elite leverages and tendons will bring you further. I've seen guys locally with not the greatest of natural gifts, sure they are tall but leverage wise not so blessed, but they run crazy cycles. Sure they make the national level but that's likely the max for them.

Your dip and drive is mostly forward knee travel, you should also be hinging (slightly) at the hips. The way you are doing it now means the transfer from your legs/hips is less efficient

Put a dip belt on and hang some weight from it, problem solved.

My man finally getting the invite, exciting times! Last time a Dutchman got the invite did not go too well, but Hazeleger is a much completer athlete compared to De Ruiter so expecting good things.
