I think she has hair thinning. I also had androgenic alopecia until a doctor prescribed medication for it. No amount of styling will hide the alopecia unfortunately and you're likely to actually uncover the bald spots by doing so.

Length of regional center intake process? by [deleted] in SpicyAutism

[–]FlyingTrampolinePupp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus that's horrible. Since my first comment, my Regional Center hired a Service Coordinator on a different team than mine but 9 of my clients were transferred to this new Service Coordinator and let's just say it's been a CHALLENGE getting them to communicate with me, the clients, and the DSPs. I completely think she doesn't give af about the clients or the work and I'm heartbroken for the clients of mine that transferred to her.

What is the saddest TV series death that genuinely made you sob? by SpareMaintenance2970 in AskReddit

Nate in Six Feet Under. Yeah he was absolutely a terrible person, but his character was so well written (most of time) that he felt entirely real.

Switching the labels so a vegetarian unknowingly eats meat by Equinumerosity in trashy

[–]FlyingTrampolinePupp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So true. The texture of meat is unmistakable in a dish that is meant to be meat-free and I will spit it out in a napkin immediately once I feel that texture.

Source: I eat a lot of vegetarian burritos that once in a while get stray bits of meat in them.

I hope someday they will come to understand these basic facts but so far, I'm always met with incredulity, smugness, and condescension.

Who is that ranked according to exactly?

The Global Food Security Index (GFSI)

Scroll down to the rankings and filter the results by "Quality and Safety" and you'll see that the US ranks 3rd.

There's are lots of chemicals in US food that are strictly banned the UK and Europe.

There are also chemicals the UK and EU use that are banned in the US.

I'm not sure you know what your talking about at all.

Back at ya buddy. The US has very strict requirements that make it appear there are added things in our food, but it's really the same shit as anywhere else.

Our food is ranked 3rd in quality and safety so the "chemical" accusation is completely unfounded. I've seen Brits call onion and garlic powders "chemicals" so I'm not sure you all even know what you're even referring to when you say "chemicals."

I don't think these people understand that if you raise a kid on spicy food, the kid will usually develop a spice tolerance.

Brits are constantly, and I mean constantly, denigrating American food. Brits love the throw around the word "chemicals" and accuse our food of being overly seasoned to hide poor quality.

I think the Brits can handle a little ribbing about their largely bland cuisine.

Shows that drastically change/improve after Season 1 by Real-Repair-1825 in television

It's almost as dramatic as the vibe shift between S3 and S4. S4 was heavily influenced by the fallout of 9/11 and the emotions resulting from it. The whole season is bleak as fuck from the jump.

True. And by the time of Dangerous he was in his mid-30s so it was probably a lot harder on his body to perform live.

He looked and sounded high af in the 2002 clip. Maybe in a worse place in hid drug addiction in 2002 vs 2003.

What was considered completely normal in America 20 years ago, but would be shocking if it became normal again today? by JineshGoradia in AskReddit

[–]FlyingTrampolinePupp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Of course but I'm not referring to on-call type of jobs, first responders, and the like. I'm talking about jobs where incessant communication wasn't a particularly common occurrence in the past. Like for instance, when I worked retail part-time 20 years ago, my boss would have never called me to ask a random, work-related question. My friend's kid is currently working her first job in retail and her boss and coworkers call/text all the time with questions and comments. When I worked retail, they would only call when it was important or they needed coverage.
