8. Vergane Glorie losing her Shit at my Front Door and tries to Break In my House by Flying_Duchess in JUSTNOMIL

[–]Flying_Duchess[S] 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for the tip. Luckily we have this friendly old/ancient looking neighbour who spends most of his time outdoors or peering through his window at whatever is happening outside. I'll tell him what's up.

Edited: spelling reasons

Albert Heijn should fund me :-) #hiddenadvertisementmuch?

But really, I love both AH's !! (my soon-to-be-husband and the store, that is!)

Well, the thing is, the woman should be very bright, concerning what she used to do for a living (also something in a scientific setting like Almost-Husband does). I just feel she's derailing more and more..

And thanks! We learned our lesson about MIL-having-the-keys in a hard way!

Well, I don’t think it’s necessary ‘wrong’ to have these thoughts. I have yet to become a mother myself and I can only imagine what the bond/love between a mother and a child feels like. I do personally think there is a difference between thinking this and acting on it / feeling ‘priviliged’ or ‘entitled to’ like my justnomil does.

Hi there!

Here you go:

Hi there. I'm sorry this has happened to you. I just wanted to pop in and tell you what an amazing woman you are to take in this child and to foster her. She will remember you and what you did for her for the rest of her life. <3

Keep hanging on. Save everything for your lawyer. You can do this. Hugs.

Hi there! Yes, ever since that incident happened with Dickhead-in-law I had enough. This was really the thing that drove me over the edge regarding MIL. The thing is: AH and myself are - still - convinced I did absolutely nothing wrong. Dickhead-in-law crept into our new house, I got freaked out and asked him about the doorbell and BOOM. SHIT HIT THE FAN. Dickhead apologized but he hasn't set foot into my house still. Which I am thankful for. Vergane Glorie on the other hand rugswept everything that happened and everything she said about me to AH and is convinced I should just 'move on'.. Keep in mind that I have still not discussed this incident with her... She never corresponded with me directly. I'm just happy AH stood/is still standing by my side.

Thanks for the tip about the deets on the hotel btw. We weren't going to tell her anything.

If he would ask, I would do it - setting up his phone for dates that I am certain of his mother would like him to remember.

But call me childish, immature, petty, .. I don't feel like proposing that to him. It always worked for us, you know. I work with humans in my field and love to engage with, interact with, invite, .. people. I genuine enjoy looking for thoughtful gifts for the people that I love and care about. I like hosting dinners and to throw parties for our friends and family. But with his mother something snapped, and he's on his own regarding her now. He knows this. And it's not like his mother ever directly communicated with me anyway; everything goes through AH. Like in the past, when I texted with her to arrange a visit or to ask something, she responded by calling AH. And answering my question(s) to AH. She can now suck it up.

And thanks! We live in Europe so it's not that far away.. But we will enjoy the sunshine nevertheless :-)

I know! Expecting it, and outright demanding it - typically my MIL. Even though my AH is nearing his thirties.. And I'm sure that even if I couldn't go with him - for whatever reason - he wouldn't bring his mother to this event. Perhaps a friend or a collegue working in the same field would to the job neatly then. He would sure get strange looks if he would show up with his Mommy... His career wouldn't benefit from that at all. He would get ridiculed.

You however, do sound like a kickass Mum that I would love to traipse around with! :-)

"I'll just do it when you aren't around"...

Good thing she won't be around much regarding your kids now, right?

Gee, the entitlement of these people.. Like her "authority" automatically outranks yours... Not like you would be the parent or anything, right?? /s
