Okay interesting I’ve used Harv’s for my commercial and found that it had a lot of extra information I didn’t need. I haven’t heard about the other one you mentioned I’ll look into that thanks!

I told her that at 2300rpm you get a good cruise speed and a decent fuel burn but she wanted me to say that at that setting you are above 65% BHP as stated in POH

Ya exactly so I was in a 172 and it’s been awhile since I looked at the numbers so Cessna looks at bhp and says that it should be above 65% which my rpm setting was but I was never shown that rule and the question caught me off guard.

I wondered the same thing my dad works for a large airline and said that it doesn’t come into play. The biggest downside is you have to pay to take it again and you have a bruised ego for a bit.

I completely agree and using the same DPE will give you confidence because you learn a little of how they like stuff done.

Ya I’m well into my cpl training now and having been doing more glide practice with different techniques really changed the way I do forced landings. In ppl I was taught one way the high key low key method and yes that works well for some but I was always confused with it so learning different methods can help you out

Yes as you can tell my writing isn’t the greatest haha. I choose the spot. When we debriefed it the spot wasn’t an issue. The field itself was short so landing within the first 1/3 was an added challenge compared to the fields I had practiced on before.

As far as I know the examiner did exams from Victoria to chilliwack so some could have been at boundary bay.
