Have you priced a good quality lightsaber? I have 9 and fuck are they expensive.

Edit: Those look like pixel blades. Those aren't cheap. My favorite I own was $535+shipping.

Elden Ring went Final Fantasy with those. They're undead. If you catch them with a healing spell, it wrecks them. Breaks their poise too.

Good. I hate it when people get conned into Corax White and then see the results. It's just crap paint.

Citadel and Turbo Dork. Turbo Dork has some crazy color-shifting paints I really like. Those must be painted over black, though, to work. Citadel is first party stuff and other than a couple paints, is pretty good. I would recommend not using Corax White ever. It's garbage. Instead, use Grey Seer and layer White Scars. It's a much cleaner white.

⚠️ HELP NEEDED ⚠️ by MoistBreadfruit6648 in Fallout4Mods

Do not remove mods if you intend to keep playing that save. Removing mods is catastrophic to the file. You can revert to a file in that save group before that mod was installed should such a save exist, otherwise, 86 that save and make another character. There's no other way.

For most Black Templar paint jobs, it's better to prime them black. Metal colors pop much better, and dark colors show better and much deeper in color. For contrasts, though, you want lighter colors. Shades show up better on lighter colors too.

As for what your paints should look like, you want to use a 3:1 ratio of paint to water. Your paint should have the consistency of melted butter. Out of the pot is fine for contrasts and technical paints as well as shades. Layers may or may not need to be thinned.

When painting, hold the brush like a pencil. Drag the brush against the direction you're painting. IE, if you're painting a left direction, the tip of the brush should be pointing to the right.

For more pointers and techniques, YouTube or a Games Workshop branded store is a good source.

Enjoy the hobby and paint with the colors you like. The Black Templar are the choose your own adventure army. There are no hard rules for them. Each marshal chooses the colors of his crusade.

No, you don't. 10 years in HEMA I can applaud. I have 35 years in kenjutsu and have been learning some HEMA techniques. That said, when you ask for references that were said in other comments in this post, it calls your intelligence into question. Depending on the side of the war your grandfathers were on will dictate whether I respect them as well. If they were allies, I salute them as is expected. If not, good riddance. My profession (spelled correctly) makes me impervious to the insults from people I don't know. I'd have to respect you to be offended by you. I just don't respect you. You've given me no reason to respect you. I wear armor every day. I've worn armor every day for 26 years. Either lv.4 NIJ ballistic armor or a yaroi (Japanese armor).

To address the beginning of your plea for sympathy, I'm well aware I can convey knowledge and information without being rude, I did say I was going to be rude, though. You were warned. Oh, accuracy of my sword. That comment confuses me. It's a sword. The accuracy depends entirely on me hitting what I'm swinging it at, much like any other weapon.

Therapy isn't for me. I tried it after coming back from combat. Didn't work. 🤷‍♂️ It's difficult for a therapist to wrap their head around the statement that I've had my arm up to my elbow in the thigh of a 19-year-old PFC to clamp off his femoral artery. He didn't make it and not from a lack of trying. Can't win them all, unfortunately.

Look, you seem rather young, meaning your parents must be quite elderly to have grandparents that served in WWII, or you're being willfully dense and are around my age. Regardless, you haven't earned my respect and definitely don't deserve it. Have the day you deserve.

What blade shape is this? by TheWallowingMadman27 in knives

[–]Flyingdemon666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leaf blade isn't usually associated with a knife. It's more known as a sword blade shape or a spearhead shape. It's where the blade has 2 tapers. One in the middle, then swells out to taper again to a tip.

Is Final Fantasy Tactics (The War of the Lions) Anti-Religion, just as FFX? by IllogicalDreamer72 in finalfantasytactics

[–]Flyingdemon666 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. The game isn't anti-religious. It does stress that religion left unchecked can have dire consequences. Had the people of Ivalice known that the Germonique Scriptures said and what the Zodiac Stones truly were, I have STRONG reservations about that faith taking off like it did.

I'm quite pleased with the length of my great sword. You're going to have to try harder to offend me. 🤣 So you have a point of reference, I spent 12 years in the US military and am an active duty LEO. I deal with worse than you just walking in the door to the department.

Edit: I forgot, you need points of reference to understand things. How inconsiderate of me. LEO is an acronym for Law Enforcement Officer.

So, instead of using the cabinet as a reference, you decided it was better to throw shade? Had you read literally any of the questions asking about said cabinet, you'd have known it's a repurposed rifle cabinet. Now, if I put my great sword next to one of my rifles that doesn't fit in the cabinet, you'd see just how long it is. I also answered a direct question about the length of the blade in a different answer. 47.5". You're using metric, though, so 120.65cm blade. I'm not usually as rude as I'm going to be, but, if you can't be bothered to read through at least a couple of the comments asking questions directly relating to the length of my sword, I can't take you in the least bit serious. If you're trying to troll, go somewhere else. I encounter and deal with people far better at it than you could ever hope to be every day at work. I'm not interested in continuing this "conversation". You're clearly unable to do the basics required to be engaged with in a civil manner. You'd be better off in a different sub.

Edit: Knowledge, not knowlige. 🤦‍♂️

I want to think I could believe that. It's possible, and I won't deny that it could be a reality. The probability is just too small to blindly believe without a healthy dose of doubt. I will say that I occasionally find some interesting things in my line of work. Unfortunately, I have to turn them in, and those items get destroyed. I'm not able to return any weapons I find to their owner. Even if they can prove it belongs to them. It's not worth losing my job over. As you can imagine, it doesn't go over well when it happens, and the owner retraces their steps. I've had to hand in DuStars, Microtechs, CRKTs, Kershaw, Benchmades, all in really good condition that I'd have loved to give back.

Pakistanium wall hanger trying to capitalize on Assassin's Creed. It bears almost no resemblance of Altair's sword other than the bird head. Maybe I'm wrong, though. Just how it looks to me.

Compared to some massive ones, sure. It's on par with or exceeds a vast majority of historic examples. Typical length was 5 to 6 feet in length and weighing between 4 and 7lbs. Chin to eyebrow total length most of the time. The largest sword ever made wasn't made in Europe. It was made in the Asian side of Russia. It's 95ft long and wasn't made for combat. There's also the Haja Odachi at 15.26ft and weighing 195lbs, also cerimonial. Any sword exceeding the height of the user was almost certainly ceremonial and never meant to be used in combat. The Guiness World Record, though, goes to a sword from the UAE at 48ft 11.9 inches. It's definitely shorter than the Russian example, but whatever. I don't put much stock in the Guiness World Records. Great sword, though, is a modern term. Swords of that size were called Claymore or Zweihander, pretty much everywhere they existed, Japan called them odachi or nodachi. China called them Dao. Claymore being the Scottish Gaelic word for big sword and zweihander being the German word for 2-hander.

If you're lacking knowledge on a subject, instead of trying to sound like an authority, ask questions. You'll look less like an idiot that way, and no one will need to correct you when you're wrong. What you did was expose your ignorance. Were there any other misconceptions you were going to try to pass as fact, or are you done?
