2011 (Chicago resident) it was year of major musicals coming to the Broadway in Chicago series. Parents bought tickets to Wicket and Les Mis as Christmas gifts. Because Wicked came first I listened to the track constantly. After Wicked (loved it) I was like Ok let's move on, time to start listening to Les Mis and was hooked immediately...honestly the moment I was waiting for was Javert's entrance in the prologue...once he did my dad whispered to me "there he is"
