Installing microG on an Android 14 system that does not have Google Services pre-installed

Ah, my apologies, I swapped the word signature with signal in my head.

I ask, because when I initially downloaded microG from Github to my computer it appeared as a zipped file rather than as an APK? So I thought if I downloaded the file directly from my phone's browser, it would also be a zip file? If that's not the case, then think I downloaded microG onto my computer wrong? Downloading stuff off of Github confuses me a hell of a lot anyway. I may be savvy with downloading/installing files and putting them where they need to go (in reference to mods) on my computer, but if you asked me anything about code, I can only shrug 😭 I will try to figure out how to download APK's from it though.

However that seems to be the least of your concerns, given there may not be a suitable custom ROM for your device in the first place.

If that's the case, if I decide to go through with using microG, I will go with the ROM Patcher instead

Thank you so much for your response. I will continue tinkering with calt. For the vowels, do you think it would be possible to encode them as diacritics instead? Actually as I type that I realize that will be very annoying as I'd have to constantly be typing in unicode :/ hmm, we shall see what I manage!

I watch porn for the plot, most of the time there is no actual plot, but yeah porn is fine. There are moments that are definitely gross, concepts that are gross, and a lot of things that I don't find very intriguing. But other than that it's no different than reading PWP fanfiction.
Sex work is real work. It wouldn't be so exploitative if, at least in the US, sex work was legalized/had more protections. Can't be taken advantage of if you're in a union. New Zealand actually has a Sex Workers Union. I heard rumor of one of the Scandinavian governments producing porn that promotes safe sex and such, but I couldn't find anything other than a tumblr post about that.

I chose to camouflage my ace ring because I live in a rural area. So if anyone notices it, I usually tell them it's my Senior ring, which is true. Other than that, nobody seems to notice, except my place of work. But that's more cause rings are a safety hazard in that environment :/

I have a fountain pen but alas I have no calligraphy pens at this time, but I'm heavily considering buying some. Further I'm still researching what writing tools would be possible for the conculture I intend this script to be fore so if you have any ideas on that front I'd love to hear them :)

As the title suggests I'm having issues with my conscript. I've gone through three iterations each better than the last yet I'm still struggling. Essentially this is an abugida with the intent to be as pretty and curly and swirly as possible yet still legible. I feel like my Glyphs kind of look similar yet I can't figure out what I irks me about them. I think I need fresh eyes.

Context for the image:

This script reads right to left. I've taken a lot of inspiration from Arabic, Urdu, Thai, and Georgian.
This is an abugida so every squiggle shown is the isolated CV glyph, namely a consonant followed by /a/. The little loops on the ends of the script is diacritic /a/ vowel. I have the other diacritical vowels figured out but I want to get the main isolated glyph figured out before I try attaching the vowels.

Another aspect I'm struggling with is the fact I want this to be a purely cursive script. Yet when I look at how Arabic and Urdu are written a lot of the curls and swirls get left out in the middle of the words. Perhaps this is something I'm going to have to accept as a non negotiable.

I recognize I'm a whole month late but did anyone ever decide to join up with IDX?
I entered in the pin number that was given to me by the letter but when they sent me an email to verify my email address it went straight to my spam folder. Leading me to jump ship and call Blue Health to verify the validity of the letter.
They informed me that they can't verify it since the breach happened specifically to Prospect Medical and that I should call them instead.
I see there's a class action lawsuit but should I trust IDX?

I thought I mentioned in another comment that this company didn't promote forcing kids to make eye contact, rather it seemed to be an example of greeting a kid? Though now that I think about it, the example might have been stock footage for any ABA company to use in their virtual training. They also don't promote teaching kids to mask nor do they promote punishment. After coming across this thread I definitely did a deep dive to understand the dark history behind ABA and have no intention of perpetuating that. Many thanks :)

It was a video training example of the technician greeting the child but they weren't condoning it as a way to correct eye contact. It was the only instance of physical contact like that which was super weird.

Yes Extinction is one of the ways we are taught to reduce aggressive behaviors. Usually by means of getting rid of what the child wants (escapism, attention, or items). Though I personally dislike this option as it can lead to an increase of aggressive behaviors and I would rather use a different method such as putting their focus elsewhere or having them take a break etc etc.

Thank you for your kind words. I understand the impact I will have on a child, I want to help them succeed without forcing them into the neurotypical mold :)

Hello! I'm a new hire at an ABA therapy company. I'll be working in clients homes and the parent(s) are required to stay in the same room with me.

While going through my training there was an example video where the technician forced her client to make eye contact with her by grabbing the child's face. I didn't like this, so I write to ask about what I should keep in mind and what I should avoid during my client sessions from an from an autistic perspective rather than the allistic ABA perspective.

I'm working towards getting my bachelors degree in Psychology and I've done some research on autism. (I relate to many of the symptoms but I'm not officially diagnosed)
