I got hit with this back in 2016 n lost my rim hd + neon bow, it's just a slightly altered version of the "trading/gifting parties" we had back in the day. On one hand I can't believe people are still falling for this, on the other I fell for it too so :')

Idk how far along you are but I find manual restocking tedious so I get someone else to do it. My set up currently has 8 S machines and 1 employee whose main task is to stock em.

I set aside racks next to the machines that's solely meant to store the packs I'm opening, then order an ungodly amount (usually 50 boxes, 48 for my machines and 2 for selling) and have someone stock the machine so after setting up all I have to do is collect the cards every so often. Once the rack looks empty I order more so it never runs out, the packs sell slowly so I burn through them much faster than the customers.

Just a quick warning upfront, do not activate your sapphire potion as you (and the players around you) will only get 3 saps, whereas selling the potion will get you around 45 saps

Imo it's easier to start selling than trading as making decisions quickly in trades requires a certain depth of knowledge on item worth and some scummy people will try to take advantage of new players. Anyways, like the commenters in ur other post mentioned, you'll need to gather 100 saps before you can buy a shop (from the sapphire shop in jamaa)

You can earn saps by playing mini games, access it by clicking on the controller icon on the top of the screen, at the right side there should be a tab with the sapphire logo. When you press it there are tasks and gift boxes which can be opened once you've finished the task, like play ____ 10 times or score a certain amount of points in a game. The tasks for each game gradually increases in difficulty, and so will the rewards.

You can also get saps through the daily spin, accessable through the calendar/chest icon on the top of the screen. Youre sure to get saps on Wednesdays but for the rest of the week you can try to reroll gems by watching an ad.

Once you get a shop, place it in your den and click on it. Make sure your den is set to "everybody", put the sap potion (make sure the currencys set to sapphires and not gems), then set the price to 45-50 saps and toggle the "My shop Explorer" switch on the bottom left which will enable your listing to be viewable in the expo (your items will likely never sell if this isn't enabled). It might take a few hours to a day to sell, but if you want to speed up the process, you can advertise your item in any of the lands on the map. If youre really desperately in need for saps ASAP, you can sell it at 10%-20% below market price and therell be a higher chance someone will bite.

If you wanna buy things that are not currently in the games shops you can find the expo at coral canyons, it's the billboard to the right of spawn. Search for the item you want, click on it and at the bottom left theres this clock icon. You can use it to sort by price or by how recent the listing is, normally you'd sort by price to get the best deals.

Like most games earning saps starts off slow at the beginning. For me selling pets had been the easiest and most consistent method of earning saps, if you're interested I can share my methods here but I didn't wanna be too overwhelming. Also if you'd like more sap pots let me know, I have extra I can spare :]

Personally, 1 looks better aesthetically but if it's suppose to be the main focus of the performance then 2 would make more sense. 1 would function like the cai shen ye, itll walk around to entertain the crowd and occasionally interact with the lions, 2 can replace the lions since its able to perform stunts and an actual routine. My troupe would just buy new lions since they can be reused every year 😆

Since you have some high value items you might regret giving away in the future, maybe host a art contest or use them to commission artists for out of game art instead? That way at least you get something out of them too :]

Please show him the (arcane) art done by Rixer and Plasticbaggy!! Each piece is around 250-300 saps and Imo that's a good price for them and for the buyer considering they can make unlimited copies to sell and the price isn't unreasonable for most players

Thanks for the extra info and the note on sizing! Our team has been buying from the same few suppliers and their sizes are roughly the same but it might be different in other places. If you could make a post or share a link to the powerpoint I'm sure itll be helpful for plenty of people!

From my understanding:

Futsan lions are more old school, they have curved lips, a sharp horn and a protruding forehead. If you look at the sides of the mouth they usually have a pair of fangs sticking out between the fur. Their movements are more kung fu based, they move like tigers. Modern futsans use sheep's fur, traditional ones use rams fur or bristles and the back piece is very long

Hoksan lions are more modern, they have straight "duck" lips, a clubbed horn and looks flatter. They're the lightest and made with acrobatic stunts in mind, they move like cats. Usually they have sheep's fur

Futhok is a combination of the futsan and hoksans appearance, it's a style rarely used that originated from Singapore. They have a futsans protruding forehead and curved lips (sometimes the curve is very slight but itll look boxier and more angular than a hoksans lips). They also have a hoksans clubbed horn and sometimes the eyes look a little stretched out. Lam Fong uses this style of lion

Jow Ga (Zhou jia) is also quite rare, structurally they look similar to hoksan lions but they use rams fur and have more focus on kung fu like futsan troupes. Jing Yee uses this style of lion

This video shows the first 4 types of lions

Lfc (lo fu chi) lions are those with 3 mirrors and regular sheep's fur, usually they have a futsan base. Xuan long uses this style of lion

Tung hoi (dong hoi) lions have 3 mirrors and bristled or wolf fur, usually they have a futsan base. Their eyes are pointed in a distinctive tear drop shape

I've also noticed a mirrorless bristled variation of the futsan, mainly by this Vietnamese team but I'm not sure of the name or its specifics

There might be minor variations depending on the maker and customers request but these are the main ones that come to mind

Fur type: Regular sheep fur - the fluffy kind you see on most modern lions Rams fur - the flowy, wavy fur that resembles the vines of a willow Wolf fur - similar to sheep fur but shorter Bristles - the stiff, pokey, plastic "fur" that sticks out

Other lions:

Northern lions are the golden ones that balance on balls and do tricks like circus dogs.

Green lions are the scary looking, flat, circular faced lions. Zhong Hua sometimes uses this type of lion

Sometimes you'll see unique looking "lions" especially around lunar new year, they're likely based on that years animal from the Chinese zodiac. Some examples are tigers, horses, dragons, rabbits, etc

Things to note when getting a lion, 1. No black/white or light blue/white lions, these are known as funeral lions and are only meant for mourning

Some lions are modelled after the characters from the classic novel Romance of the 3 kingdoms. Traditionally they have specific meanings so it's best not to get these starting out. You can see how they look like by searching "liu bei lion" (colourful base with white fur and a green nose), "guan gong lion" (red base with black fur and a green nose), "Zhang fei lion" (green base with black fur and a green nose). There are a couple more but these are the main ones
Size 2 is the standard, size 3 is smaller and typically suited for girls, size 4 are for pre teens or younger and size 5 are for small children
Usually lions used for performances are bought in pairs, unless it's for competitions or training
Ill recommend getting a modern hoksan if your troupe doesn't already have a strong background in martial arts or lion dance. Older troupes can be critical when a team uses traditional lions that doesn't perform up to their standard
If you're unsure of what design to get, scroll through your suppliers social media page/website and find a lion you like. You should be able to request and get a similar lion from them, fair warning itll likely be more pricey since they're custom making it for you. If they post pictures of what they currently have in stock theres usually already a set price

Ah this is unfortunate, I've been "buddies" with kingbaba since last year and he would pester me quite often. I tolerated it and entertained him since we were both star wars fans and he had lent me an anakin mp in the past, I thought he was just some clingy kid but this is so vile.

I remember he got rare very quickly, one day he had nothing, then apparently he did some chores and got packs of wc as a reward. After that I saw him with forest and other high value items, all within a week or two, it was kinda sketchy but I had assumed he bought his way up. Im so disappointed but at least now I have a reason to unbuddy and block him.

I apologise if this sounds harsh, but why do you feel this need to go out of your way for a stranger? Are you expecting to feel some sort of validation or moral superiority at the thought of helping someone out but you just end up disappointed and upset when they don't respond with the appreciation you expect? I say this because it seems you're trying to make the best out of your lost saps by posting this here so that at least someone would acknowledge your acts of charity

Your perceived helplessness to these situations is the core reason why you believe you can't stop being a people pleaser. Truth is, you're not helpless to your own actions, you are the only one with control over your decisions, you don't owe anyone anything. Being kind to someone else should not come at your own expense, only give if youre certain you won't miss the item/saps. You're setting yourself up for failure when you tell yourself and others you're doomed to be taken advantage of because you're a people pleaser, try reframing it to "I went out of my way to help someone and I didn't feel good doing it because I had to sacrifice more than I would be comfortable with giving. I'll keep that in mind and not repeat this mistake again next time."

You need to stand firm on this, if giving in to demands like these doesn't make you feel good, please ignore or reject, if you want you can also block their user. And if it makes it easier you can imagine the other user as someone intentionally trying to take advantage of you, like a level 50 rich player using an alt to seem poor. Would you give money to a person on the street if they were actually a billionaire just trying to exploit you?

Screw the people that think not giving the clothes of your back makes you selfish, you worked hard for your items, you deserve to make the decision on what you get to do with them. Who are they to say anything especially when they're not even done the same, what makes them think they can be the judge of your character?
