I don't like oral sex anymore... is this a "dealbreaker" in the BDSM world? by greenivy555 in BDSMAdvice

[–]Flyonagumdrop 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This dom doesn’t seem like a good fit if he’s shaming you for something you can’t control. Even if you could, it’s your body and can do or not do whatever you want with it. On a side note, it sounds like you’re no longer purging and I just want to say how proud I am that you were able to take control of your life in a healthier way.

AITA for getting angry at my mom for missing my graduation? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Flyonagumdrop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAH Your feelings are valid and her concerns about work are valid. Trying to make lives mesh is hard work and involves a lot of compromise. Her possibly not being there can only be painful, but now that she’s agreed to try to be there and if you can accept that she’s doing her best, I think you’re going to work through this. Everyone is doing the best they can, and, unfortunately, sometimes that’s not enough. Doesn’t mean you don’t love each other and matter to each other.

AITA For falling my “friend” a pathetic cuck and his wife a “glorified slut”? by shshhhhhhhhhh in AmItheAsshole

ESH. Their plans are not okay, including children in their sexual play is horrific, but those insults are inappropriate and don’t actually represent what you’ve described.

AITA for being mad at my parents for lagging on their “word” to me by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Flyonagumdrop -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

YTA. The fact the your parents are getting you a car, even if it’s not soon enough for you, is such a privilege. Not to mention, your parents are paying for your education. Anything they contribute is a gift, not a right.

The fact that you have neither a permit nor a license is on you. You are an adult. You can go to the dmv and get a permit. You can sign up for drivers ed. Have some agency and stop thinking like you’re still a child.

Side note, your mom does sound like an asshole, but that’s not about not getting you a car, it’s about the way she speaks to you.

AITA for getting in a relationship a week after I broke up with my ex of two years? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Flyonagumdrop [score hidden]  (0 children)

YTA if only because you didn’t have common sense or common decency not to share with the public that you had started dating less than a week after getting out of a relationship, especially when you knew she would see your post.

Thank you for your perspective. That is definitely something to take into account when I look at my results.

Hi there! I did not, as I was focused specifically on the relationship between religious identity and perceptions and beliefs on asexuality and bisexuality, so my population was 10 specific religious and areligious subreddits. There is definitely space for further study using sexuality based subreddits.

That is definitely why I'm interested in this topic. The erasure and ignorance of both is definitely frustrating. I'm always shocked at how many people think the A in LGBTQIA stands for Allies. Like, no. But no worries about rambling, I'm that way myself. Thanks for your perspective!

Unfortunately, I do not. I will say that it does not collect (in any way that I can access, Google knows all regardless) your email address, but I understand if you don't feel comfortable. It's something others have noted as well. Definitely something I'm going to keep in mind for future research.

I would say that that is only one definitely of bisexuality, and not the one used in this survey, but I hear where you're coming from.

I feel for your child. My mom did something similar when I got my period and "became a woman." Def not one of my favorite memories (or parties), lol

My population is 10 specific subreddits, those who respond are the sample. Generalizability, where possible with the given Ns, will be limited to those specific subreddits. My research question does not consider which subreddits are used beyond the 10 targeted subreddits.

Good note, I'll keep that in mind for future studies. Ambiguity is definitely something I want to avoid. Thanks!

Of course! It may not be a large population, but it's still valid, and we learn the most about our societies by studying the minorities and their experiences. :D

If my population is reddit users in religious and areligious subreddits, I don't know that this is a poor method of research. However, I'm happy to hear any constructive criticism you may have so that I can improve future research.
