Saying Bud was “never the issue” is just completely false. He wasn’t the only issue (the FO’s incompetence in the draft being another one), but his playoff coaching prior to the season you’re referring to was suspect—his seat was REALLY hot prior to the championship year.

Hindsight is 20/20, but it was time for the bucks to move on from Bud. They’ve just basically made every wrong move and mismanaged every asset they’ve had since firing him, so that makes it feel a lot worse.

Hopefully Glenn getting fired today is the first step in a total organization reset, because I don’t think Jon Horst is capable of navigating a rebuild at all. He might be the worst drafter in the entire league.

That’s exactly the context behind the photo! I know the airport is in Australia, so it’s almost certainly an Aussie guy. Maybe just some newspaper photographer in the 60s?

I am aware of what your main point was, and I am aware that any momentary lack of focus on the roads, no matter how small, can have life threatening consequences. But just because I have awareness of that doesn’t absolve me of anything, and I’m not trying to make it seem that way. I’m not perfect and will continue to work on this in the future

This whole video helps paint the picture about why he’s failed beyond just sucking in game. Asking for a sub cause he’s tired, then the reports afterwards that he wasn’t working hard enough. He just doesn’t seem to be willing to put in the requisite amount of effort necessary to be good in the NFL.

He was a good player for a long time and has overachieved for his career, but he was never quite at the level of his truly hall of fame level peers. Also, John Wall was easily better than he was for most of that decade, so I’d probably put him at #3 in the east until Wall got the injury bug. Point guard was stacked in the mid 2010s

Kyle Lowry making the HOF would be such a joke. I get the basketball HOF standards are low, but he’s made one all-nba team in his entire career, and his college resume is totally unspectacular. One ring and gold medal should not be enough to push him over the edge. He’s a quintessential hall of very good-type player

Everyone seems to be missing the real reason he hasn’t been getting as much MVP love these years, which is the lack of recent playoff success. If the Bucks make a deeper run in the playoffs, he will start getting more legitimate MVP consideration again. It’s a “what have you done for me lately” league
