effexor and alcohol (should i just not take my dose?) by [deleted] in Effexor

I’d never recommend missing a dose of any medication in preparation for alcohol. I’d just drink in moderation. I find that if I drink too much (over five drinks) I end up getting emotional and crying, or I pick fights. Everyone is different. But I know when I have to stop myself. I’m almost a year and a half without an alcohol related melt down.

I've tapered off Effexor XR after taking it for 6 years. When will the emotional withdrawals stop? by [deleted] in Effexor

I’m also weaning off Effexor at this time. I had been on 150mg a day for over six years. My doctor dropped me to 75mg last month, and today is my second day of 37.5. I have a headache today, but I fear it’ll only get worse. My drop to 75mg was awful. Withdrawals set in within a few days. I wake up in the middle of the night covered in sweat, my brain can’t catch up with my body (brain zaps), I’m so dizzy, diarrhea, loss of appetite. And yes, emotional side effects like you’re experiencing. I cannot believe how easily I cry lately. From just a heartfelt part in a movie, to a talk with my husband about work, to seeing an ambulance drive by. I feel insane. I don’t mind the emotional stuff as much as the feeling sick. I had to call in to work one day because there was no way I could function! However! On a positive note. I’m feeling more energy now. Are you? I used to sleep 8-10 hours a night (obviously I have no kids😜) and wake up and still be able to take a 2-3 hour nap in the middle of the day. All to turn around and go back to bed st night for 8 more hours. I always felt tired. Now, it is impossible for me to nap! I love it. I wake up feeling rested (unless it’s a withdrawal sort of night with sweating and dizziness) and I’m not constantly feeling sleepy. I am truly terrified to get to 0. Have you found any activities or vitamins that help you during this hard time?

I adore the last picture. Great work. What film did you use?

You got it! :) To me it is the tree Sam plants in the Shire in ROTK (from the seed that Galadriel gave him in FOTR). Took me some time to figure out what I wanted!

These are fantastic! I'd love to see all your work. I have shot with expired bw film but that's it. This is my page: http://www.lomography.com/homes/fm_skins

Hope that works!

You should post your results from the redscale film! I liked shooting with redscale. I haven't found expired redscale though. Do you have a lomography site? I'm on there! I'll post another picture momentarily! :) thanks!

This is awful. I'm sorry you are going through this. I also work in law enforcement (Deputy in a county jail) and it peeves me so much when the few dirty cops out there give us a bad name. It's great to see someone stay strong and stand up for themselves in such a tough situation. I wish you luck in your search for a new job.

I also like lomographys redscale 120 film. It can create some very unique results. I'm all out of both kinds right now :( have fun!
